Our room had a balcony and a beautiful view of the lake, which is gradually disappearing due to inadequate garden maintenance. The room was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a super-comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed a delicious bar meal in the evening, which was perfectly cooked. However, the staff at the front desk were quite disorganised and not very helpful. Clearly, there are gaps in staff training and communication that need to be addressed for Heritage Hotel to meet its star status.

Not very helpful. Wasn’t ready for check in time. Hair / muck on floor. Toilet was leaking - had to call 8am and 3pm to get maintenance. Room Service didn’t come, had to call at 3.30 for this.lift was out of service so had to carry everything up and down stairs. No water at the hotel upon checking out so no shower or water to brush teeth. No compensation nor sympathy. Wasn’t told about car park charge. Won’t be staying again!

Thankful for the upgrade. We stayed in the forestview part of the hotel I’m not sure if that was an upgrade. I guess it was an upgrade to a bigger room. We had better stay at our motels in te-anua and twizel and this one is more expensive. Also my friend had some bites in our room. Basically it was an ok stay ….by the lake , but we dont have the view . Still a drive to the dining options in the town and limited free parking or you pay for the parking … but it kept us safe ….

First time at the Heritage and we loved it. Great views. Room was big and comfortable. Best shower with instant hot water. We didn’t have a car but the bus service at the front of the hotel is excellent to get to and back from town every 15 minutes. We have booked to go back in two months time.

Take a Breath

A last minute booking that we are glad we made. Even though staff were super busy with bus loads arriving and unpacking as we arrived, they were cool, calm and collected. Attended to our booking promptly. The room wasn’t ready so we received drink vouchers so we could chill whilst we waited near an open fire. We could park our car undercover for $15, which was appreciated. Lift and stair access to our Lakeview Room. Huge room with separate lounge, bedroom and bathroom . Two full lounges for seating, dining table and chairs, kitchen facilities. Laundry facilities behind closet door in dining/kitchen area (bonus). We dined in the restaurant and enjoyed the hospitality and food. Checkout was quick am Nd seamless. Thank you for accepting us last minute, we thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation and the spectacular view from our room.
