Wonderful property! Food at the restaurant is exceptional. Staff are personal and attentive. Pools are refreshing. Monkeys, toucans, macaws, sloth are viewable from the property. Everything you need for an amazing vacation.

The Gaia is one of a kind. With a nature reserve on the property we saw monkeys, macaws and a sloth. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the food was great!

An absolutely wonderful place to stay. The service was exceptional and the staff could not have been more attentive throughout my time at the hotel (organising activities, in the restaurant and generally just checking in to make sure everything was okay). The rooms are not the most beautiful, but the grounds of the hotel and the reserve are stunning. The wildlife on site is incredible. There is a very handy shuttle bus that takes you to the national park and the beach which was very efficient and convenient.

Great breakfast menu selection with large portions, there’s even eggs benedict! All of the staff were amazing, we received the best service here of all the places we’ve stayed at in Costa Rica. You can spot macaws and monkeys across the property. The restaurant has a stunning view. Would definitely return!

Do not hesitate. The property is absolutely outstanding. Well appointed room, amazing bedding, extraordinarily helpful and pleasant staff, amazing views from the room, the restaurant, and the lounge (perfect for sunsets). Lovely location with incredible reviews. Seeing the released red macaws on site was a treat. Tours booked via the hotel were excellent and we appreciated the recourse when one of our tours did not work out. Really loved the upper sunset deck. Restaurant was decent. Pool lovers may be disappointed with the pool.

Lovely stay at the Gaia Hotel. The location is ideal and the staff was very helpful. The restaurant was excellent and accommodated my gluten issue. Gorgeous sunset views from the bar at the top of the resort. Because the resort ascends up the hill, there are lots of stone tile steps that can be tricky to navigate. Watch your step. Be sure to tour Manuel Antonio National Park (reserve a ticket in advance) and go to the swimmable beach in the park. The beach closest to the resort has strong currents. Be careful and listen to the lifeguards and don't go out beyond your waist.
