Basic but comfortable hostel

Pros: The location was great if you want to be away from things. The hostel is right under the mountains so great for hiking and exploring.
Cons: It would have been good to have had access to a kettle to have a hot drink
Location: There are quite a few things to see nearby such as waterfalls, glaciers and the volcano museum but you definitely need to have a car
We had a comfortable 2 night stay here at the Edinborg guesthouse. I was a little disconcerting not to be greated by anyone at check in but we had been sent all the information we need to access the building and our room. We found our room was a good size and there was enough space for our bags. The bathroom was clean apart from some mould on one wall. The bed sheets were clean and there were clean towels provided too.

Nice Guesthouse in South Iceland. There is no front desk so you have to call a number when you arrive so get the door codes. Unfortunately there were some guest loudly banging on the main door after midnight to enter and the other guests were rather noisy as well. The guetshouse is way too expensive for what you get. So i would not book it again.

Unser Zimmer war heruntergekommen und leider auch nicht Sauber. Die Dame am Telefon (telefonischer Check-In) wirkte genervt und nicht sehr freundlich. Würden wir kein zweites mal buchen. Schade!

toller Gemeinschaftsraum

gemütlich und sauber besonders der Gemeinschaftsraum mit Billiard machte uns Spass! Das Self Check-In hat problemlos funktioniert! Allerdings hat es kein Personal vor Ort ...

Sehr klein und alt

Extrem kleines Zimmer und auch das Bad war winzig. Es knarrt und knischt wenn sich im Haus jemand bewegt und wenn man die Zimmertüre schliessen will, weckt man das ganze Haus weil sie so klemmt. Ok für eine Nacht aber länger hätte ich nicht bleiben wollen.
