Great home

We were in town for the Black Hills Stock Show. This was a great house for our group of 8. Close to everything and they were great to work with. The furnace was acting up and they sent someone right out on Sunday morning to fix it. Highly recommend as this is our 2nd time staying in this house.

Perfect place for five hunters and their dog!

Five spacious bedrooms and a fenced in large yard made this the perfect selection. About five minutes from the center of town (sports bar and meals) added to the convenience. We did not use any of the appliances beyond the refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot as we ate out. The five separate rooms and five queen size beds as well as sitting rooms both upstairs and downstairs were just perfect for us. We did not take advantage of the games available (we are all in our 70's) but they looked great.

Beware!!!

If I could give this property zero stars I would. We ended up not even staying at the property and had to find other accommodations. We messaged the hosts and were very un helpful. They refused to give us a full refund and even charged us a processing fee for the small refund we did get back.

Better than we expected

We were 4 men staying in this residence. Everything listed in the description is accurate. The house was clean, well taken care of, freshly painted, with all the amenities we needed. There were plenty of towels, toilet paper, kitchen utensils, and cooking utensils. Coffee maker and fresh coffee beans which we grinded each morning (grinder was included). Plenty of hot water and excellent showers in both bathrooms. Large back yard, fenced in, and a large deck with outdoor furniture and a gas grill. Two large TV units loaded with entertainment. We did not use the Foosball table or PacMan arcade games, but both were available and fully functional. The location was perfect as far as access to the highways and very close to downtown Rapid City, and only about 15-20 minutes to the airport (a very easy ride). I highly recommend this house and would go back again. Paul

Overpriced

For the price of the house I was extremely disappointed. The size was perfect for 2 families of 5. When we walked in the house, it smelled of extreme smoke. We found broken glass and a board with nails sticking straight up in the backyard. The living room couches were falling apart. The ceiling fan in the living room looked like it was going to fly off the ceiling. Whoever cleans this property needs to do a double take next time. Would not recommend staying at this property.

Bring Your Own Toilet Paper?

The Good: Acceptable and friendly communication from management. Nice homey aesthetic. Lots of potential for a really nice place. The Bad: Uncomfortably grimy. We were hit by cigarette odor the minute we opened the door. While the easy stuff was clean - toilets, sheets, etc. - paint can't hide mold! Filthy doors, walls and ceiling. Broken couch, poor quality beds, flickering lights, chipped, peeling paint...the deck looks like it's rotting off the house. Also, the area is in the seedier side of Rapid. These are things that can't be fixed by responsive hosts after the fact. But... A single roll of toilet paper for a week's stay of a family of four??? No soap or courtesy shampoo? These are simple, inexpensive and standard touches that make guests feel welcome. We will not return on our next visit to this beautiful city.

Clean and Perfect for our group of 6

We traveled to South Dakota with our 2 teens and their grandparents (in their 70s). This property was great and fit our needs well. It was clean with good sheets and towels and plenty of toilet paper. Plenty of space for everyone to have a little space to themselves, but nice game room when we wanted to get together. The Foosball and arcade were a hit with the teens and there is a nice selection of games as well. We cooked all breakfasts and dinners on property and it was adequate. The grill was clean, and the kitchen had all the essentials. We found the location great. It is an older split-level house, but we found the neighborhood safe and there is a Walmart super center 1 mile from the house. It was a great jumping off point for all of our adventures and a nice place to come back to at the end of each day. The property owners were great to communicate with and were quick to address a small issue we had. Overall - great place and I would stay with them again!

Birthday Weekend

We came to Rapid City to visit and celebrate our youngest son’s birthday. This home was perfect for us and the location was a bonus. Although, the home is in an older neighborhood in which may look a bit interesting with cars parked on their yards etc. I was a bit skeptical, but found that it was a very quiet neighborhood and we could easily get to where we wanted to in minutes. The home was sweetly decorated and the basement game room was our family favorite. Many laughs and competitiveness was had. I suggested to Jordan some black out window coverings to be added to what it is there, as all current curtains are thoughtfully coordinated with the rooms (woven blinds would accent these windows and provide more privacy and black out effect). Some doors and trim could use some touch up and paint, but overall, this home was a nice pick for our family birthday weekend and would highly recommend. We’re excited to return to the area again and stay at another J&J Property, if not this one again.

Beautiful Property

This property was absolutely gorgeous. The property managers responded in a very timely manner and was very patient to answer all questions. It was my first time using Vrbo and they made it extremely easy. There’s plenty of room for everyone. It was located near a couple of stores and restaurants. It was unfortunate for us, that the previous guest had broken the foosball table so we did not get to use it. The fire pit is also no longer available, but neither of those things took away from our stay. Happy customer!!!

Cutely decorated house with a great location within the city

Our families enjoyed this 5 bedroom (3 upstairs, 2 downstairs), 2 bath (1 up,1 down) house. It was cutely decorated & the layout of the house was perfect for our 2 families totaling 8 people. Nice deck in back to hangout. Fun game room downstairs. Great location in town not far from restaurants & stores. Only 30 mins or less from Keystone. Property owners were great communicators, responded quickly and answered any questions we had throughout the stay. This is a property we will stay at again when visiting to Rapid City.

Family Trip w/9 Guest

Loved the property. The location was perfect
close to food and shopping. We used the house to travel to My Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Badlands, Devils Tower, and many other cool spots. J&J were very cooperative and ensured we were set for fun! The house was just right and the basement was a relaxing space. We even sent the kids in the large back yard to run around. The 4th of July fireworks in Rapid City could be seen from front living room. Perfect!
