Staff were really welcoming and helpful. An excellent hotel to stay with plenty to keep the kids entertained. Our garden room was pleasant and had enough space for our family. The only disappointment was the paid wifi was very slow compared to some of the free wifi at other restaurants/ hotels

Was ok. Property could do with a microwave and bowls for the room. No powerpoint in the bathroom so shaving and hair straightening wasn’t possible in the bathroom and difficult to do in the main living area. Couldn’t get in room spa to work. Snorkelling not so good out the front. A lot better to head near the Rarotongan for good snorkelling. Kids club was great. View was great from our room. Room was spacious but a bit out dated.

Beautiful views from Beachfront rooms. Very helpful staff. Two nice restaurants on site and the cocktails are delicious. Only 10 mins drive into township and airport.

My review of this property is mixed. The property is older and very clean. The staff is very nice. Unfortunately we weren't pleased with our food and beverage experience at this hotel. Upon check in we were told of the island Buffet that evening. It was sold out. We walked to their Italian restaurant and couldn't get a seat as they were fully booked. Our only option was their main restaurant which had seating only outside under palapas in the rain. They were seriously understaffed so our entire dining experience was long and with poor service. The breakfast included was busy and chaotic with very limited choices. Our room was ocean

OLD - OLD - OLD - OLD - RAGGEDY! Breakfast was awful (pretty much bread & yoghurt). Rooms had old orange towels, flimsy bedsheets. Reception folks don’t help - rude & uncaring & unprofessional. (The Concierge was nice - thankfully). The rest were mediocre. Fix your customer service. It’s low hanging fruit.

Take a taxi from the airport 40nzd for 2 people, one way rather than the rip off 55nzd each for a seat in bus, run by local cartel-like Raro Tours. We paid 110nzd for return transfers as recommended by hotel and still had to pay for a taxi back to airport as transfer wanted to drop us less than 2 hours before our international flight which only runs twice a week. Raro Tours don't care about your flight, they just fit you in when convenient for them, and they do not refund once paid. Edgewater need to stop endorsing this company for it's guests as it is way more expensive than a taxi and a terrible service and experience for their guests. This hotel is also 50 years old and looks every year of that. Massage in spa was great.

This resort is tired and needs some refurbishment. The rooms had mould around some of the windows and caked dirt in some corners. The paint work needed some work.The meal we ordered was caked in mayo and the fish was dry and inedible. I was disappointed to be fair. It is a good location but needs some work to live up to other resorts on the main island. Won't be back.

The male staff while dining were really nice but some of the lady’s was a bit snobby. The room itself was quite nice but the toilet paper holder was broken. A Consistently Wonderful Stay at The Edgewater Resort We’ve just returned from our fourth stay at The Edgewater Resort, and once again, it exceeded all our expectations. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, while makes you feel safe and comfortable during your stay, which is always a top priority for us. The facilities here truly have everything you need for a memorable holiday. There’s no shortage of activities to enjoy at the resort and around the island (which the resort will help you to book), whether you’re looking for relaxation or adventure. There's a kids' club for he under 12 year olds that offer fun activities for them to do. We can’t recommend The Edgewater Resort enough! Whether it’s your first visit or your fourth like ours, you’re guaranteed to have an amazing experience.
