The room we stayed in was very dingy and right beside an emergency exit that the staff were using which kept us up during the night from the noise. The hallways are depressingly rough looking and the smell from years of smoking inside has saturated everything and it smells like an old ashtray. This hotel is in desperate need of a renovation, it is VERY dated and dingy. The furniture was very worn and stained and the bathroom had definitely seen better days. It was clean enough but because everything is so worn, dated and dingy it's hard to notice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The casino obviously has new machines, etc, but the hotel is pretty rough. The pool area lighting at night makes it look like a sanitarium. Try some soft warm lighting not 5000K florescent task light!! :S

Front Office Manager did NOT return my calls! Ended up with an extra charge on my credit card of almost $90! Sink had removable water stain and hair upon entering! Club room charges were definitely not worth the extra charge I was wrongly charged for as I wasn’t quoted extra charge upon booking or check in!

We booked 2 club rooms for a double celebration, it's Our Mom and Dad's 50th wedding anniversary and my son's 2nd birthday so we chose Red Deer Hotel Resort and Casino so the elderly can play Casino while my kids can enjoy the pool, but unfortunately pool is unavailable and that really broke our kids heart. We are so upset, although the front desk is very approachable and understand how we felt and even talked to the Manager for a solution offering us to stay until 5pm in a suite room with Jacuzzi, we have to turn down the offer as we have to go back early and do some errands before my husband fly back to his work for 2 weeks. Our precious family time and celebration was totally ruined, since the pool is not available, we had decided to check out early in the morning and left the hotel full of disappointment. The second concern was about the rooms air-conditioning it was dirty which makes us stuffy most especially my husband and my mother-in-law. They weren't able to sleep well. I would like to extend my thank you and appreciation with the lady working in the Club lounge, Vilma and the other lady working this morning during breakfast time. They are both great and accommodating, as well as Sarah who works at the Front desk, she's very nice and very soft spoken and she understands how we felt about it. But other than that, we will never come back to that Hotel Casino in Red Deer again.
