Check-in and communication was easy. Location is away from the traffic and very secluded. The cabin is beautiful and nestled in a forest with its own creek and plenty of space for exploring the grounds. I loved visiting the creek and hearing the peaceful rush of water nearby. The vegetation is so lush and yet we did not have mosquitoes bother our family of five. The huge windows around the cabin gave us the feel like we were camping in the forest, but within the luxury of a newly done cabin home. The laundry room, hot tub and kitchen were all well-planned and nice amenities and we spent lots of time outdoors on the table tennis table and the hammock if we werenât chatting around the outdoor living space having barbecue for dinner. Strings of lights gave the forest an enchanted feel at night and let us feel safe and snugly.
Great area and beautiful Cabin but has some room for growth. A lot of work needs to be done on the grounds outside the cabin, foliage cut back around the walkways up to the house. The rock paths cleaned up and secured, there were a lot of loose rocks. The carport not being cleaned up and ready to play table tennis was a disappointment and there not being lights in the carport (even though it is set up for it) the loose furniture around the fire pit is a hazard. No available fire wood for the fire pit was unfortunate, it would be different if we were notified before hand to get some. Needed better instructions on where the key is for the lockbox. Need more essentials (no lighter for the fireplace/firepit). Better lighting, it was very dim and hard to see at night especially in the kitchen and dining room). The toilet paper roll holder in the downstairs bathroom is too close to the toilet and punched/damaging the wall, the shower drain in that bathroom does not drain. The bedroom and bathroom upstairs was covered in flies when we arrived. The bathroom upstairs had mold all over the shower and baseboards. The couch falling apart with a blanket thrown over it to cover it was unfortunate. All the mattresses was very broken down. Labeling the lights would have been helpful. The place needs some serious love but all and all a decent stay.
My husband and I are newly weds! We came here for his birthday and then turned into a little honeymoon getaway! Was our first time in Oregon EVER. It was just more than we were expecting and all of our expectations were met!! Easy access to everything in the cabin to the outside of the cabin. Itâs a âoff the gridâ cabin but so much around you once on the main road. Definitely living the âtwilightâ dream!
Such a beautiful property and cabin. The stay was exactly what we needed to get away. We played games, we laughed, and everything was exactly as expected. Thanks so much for being excellent hosts.
Property was nice. Temps in space were very cold upon arrival. Wood burning stove not adequate for space heating of needed to being spec up from 60 degrees Downstairs bathroom door will not open from outside when shut. This is a saftey hazard.
Beautiful, so peaceful, a bit of construction noise on an adjoining property but that was no bother really. We felt totally relaxed and able to get away from it all.
We were looking for an extended weekend getaway and this delightful cabin in the Oregon pine forest within vicinity of Mt. Hood turned out to be perfect. The property is nestled in an idyllic woods setting. Its layout is an interesting blend of coziness as well as spaciousness. Itâs remarkably well-stocked. And while itâs remote enough to be off the cellular grid, itâs also within 10-15 min drive of enjoyable local eateries and grocery shops. All in all, the setup delivered everything we were looking for.
Cute home. Friends came from out of town, was great to relax and disconnect. Close enough to town to do activities. We loved relaxing out back, dipping toes in the river, and soaking in hot tub.
We really enjoyed this space, we took advantage of the area and the back yard and the fire pit. It was so great not to have wifi and have three days away in peace and quiet. We got to spend quality family time together
We spent a week at the cabin as our kids attended alpine race camp up on Mt Hood. Great proximity to the mountain. Wonderful trails from running up the Old Salmon River Trail. Like, amazing! Cabin was a great place to unwind and relax after our days outdoors. Ping pong table was in pretty rough shape and no lights out there made it pretty hard to play. For the length of our stay, a few extra laundry pods and dishwasher tabs would have been nice. Overall weâll likely rebook for next summer.
Very nice place, super easy to get in and out, no cell service until youâre a 5+ minute drive away from the cabin which was very relaxing but could make planning hard if you donât do it ahead.
This is a beautiful property. The views from this cabin are unmatched. Truly a sanctuary for those looking to escape the everyday stresses brought on by technology and work.
I will definitely book this place again.
This house was everything we were looking for and definitely one of the cleanest places we have stayed at! Our children cried as we left the driveway as it was their favorite place so far. And as we drove down the road they asked how soon we could go back. It definitely was a gem and we cant wait to go back!
The setting was awesome, the windows allowed the outside to come sit on the couch with you. The second level bedroom was quite and the fire pit set the tone for a good family conversation
