The Cascade Cabin was a great find.
Location - 20-25 min from Timberline and Sandy and close enough to local dining, groceries and hikes. Be ready for a bumpy ride into the cabin. It is a dirt road.
Accommodations - all of the amenities you could need. Fully stocked kitchen with every gadget, coffee, oil, spices, dishes, cookware, grilling tools, etc. The gas grill was a great option when we chose to dine in. So much space for two couples. Access to streaming services with your own log-ins. Cozy blankets & pillows on a jumbo coach with a gas fireplace. We used the hot tub several times. Clean and hot! Towels also provided. We didn’t use any of the yard games but they were available and would make a family visit with kids of all age a home run. Great selection of card & board games.
Temps during our visit ranged from low 50s to mid 90s. Several fans available to cool things down, but given the location in the woods, they weren’t really needed. Leaving the cabin the AM was much cooler than when we made it out to the sunlight.
Greatly appreciated the local recommendations of trails to hike and eateries to visit. We also utilized the state parks access pass a few times.
A few odd things, all the lighting was overhead, no lamps in the common spaces. Pillows were pretty hard. If you are picky, might want to bring your own.
