One of the most unique properties I’ve ever found. The property is aged yet the furnishings, and fixtures modern. Our suite had what seemed like original doors that with age didn’t close quite right but yet that added to the charm of the place. Staff was amazing. Great location. Will stay again if we get back to Richmond.

The valet was really nice and he took care of us . The front desk was also excellent.the problem occurred when we walked into the restaurant with our coffee from Starbucks. The server wouldn’t let us have our coffee there. Ok, so we left. The next day we try the restaurant for breakfast again.This time we had no coffee with us. We asked for decaf and were told they didn’t have any. So we left AGAIN. So what were we to do ?went to the front desk and the gentleman was so nice and apologetic and he agreed with us. Was this something the server made up or is it hotel policy ?

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the valet, Eric, who is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in an excellent location, and most points of interest are within walking distance. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated.

Property was terribly understaffed. Valet had one poor man running cars and it took way too long. Breakfast at restaurant also had one server and the kitchen was so slow. It took an hour to get a warm cinnamon roll-we had to beg for a to go container and run. All summed into us being late for an appointment. The staff was kind and apologetic-it was not their fault they did not have enough people. Facilities-the AC in our room would not bring the temperature below 75-it was uncomfortable to sleep. Could be a lovely property if they would invest in employees so visitors could enjoy their stay.

The room that we had, room 401 had a view of the air-conditioning system. There was no view at all. Also, the shower door never closed. It was always popping open. The bar was rarely open and when it was, it looked like there was no alcohol on the shelves.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Everyone was exceptionally kind, from the valet to the cook. The food was delicious; I particularly savored the shrimp and grits, and the chicken wings were simply irresistible. I also had a classic coffee martini and an old-fashioned, both of which were expertly prepared. The bartender was outstanding, and the front desk staff were both friendly and professional. The valet service was impeccable, providing helpful information to enhance my stay. I am very much looking forward to returning.

It was a lovely hotel. The room was generously sized. It was clean and the staff was courteous and helpful. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast. The only thing that could be a concern for some guests is that noisy heating/air conditioning in room. It didn’t bother me but some guests might find it annoying. I strongly recommend this hotel.

From the moment we arrived, even before stepping inside, we felt genuinely welcomed. The valet team was outstanding—especially the gentleman managing the area. He greeted us warmly, unloaded all of our luggage, brought it to our room, and even took the time to hang up our dresses. Check-in was smooth and effortless. The lobby was absolutely beautiful and set the tone for the rest of our stay. When we entered our room, we were amazed by how gorgeous, comfortable, and spotless it was—truly one of the cleanest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. That evening, we had a concert to attend, and once again, the valet service went above and beyond. Our vehicle was ready, doors were opened for us, and they even offered ponchos because of the rain—a thoughtful touch. When we returned around 11 p.m., we received the same level of service. We all slept wonderfully; the beds were extremely comfortable. The next morning, we ordered room service, and breakfast was excellent—the food was delicious, and the fruit was incredibly fresh. Check-out was just as easy as check-in. Our vehicle was ready, and we were quickly on our way. This was without a doubt the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. We felt safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. We will absolutely be back

Unique property, room was big and so was the bathroom. It was clean. The hotel staff was somewhat friendly (valet was excellent), the hotel itself needs some renovations. Like a lot of places in Richmond, you never know what you're going to get.
