Pulled up to check in and there was a guy walking through the parking lot with a sawsall and a bandana on his face. Then another male sitting in his car with his face covered. I did not feel safe to even get out of the car. Even though I bought the additional cancellation… I was still denied a refund.

The only thing I can say about this ‘hotel’ is that it’s in a good location for UC Riverside, it’s pretty cheap and you get a free almost bearable breakfast - coffee and a banana anyway. That’s why I’ve stayed a few times but every time I do I swear it’ll be the last. The property and rooms are so run down, area outside is desolate and the service is terrible (except friendly lady at breakfast always!). I swear this time I’m not going back - will pay more to stay in the Marriott next door or a hotel in downtown Riverside next time.

This property isn't fit to be classified as one of the Choice hotels. First, there were cockroaches running around the property and my room had paint enamel chips coming off and mold spots on the bathroom / tub areas. The paint in the bathroom was not done well with some coming off. It looked really poorly maintained. The door to the room had a gap that you could put your hand under which means the cockroaches could enter also. Definitely gave me vibes of roach motel. Not recommended. The staff could use more personality, no affect and just doing their job and not very welcoming.

The entry door does not lock properly, and homeless people at night make us feel unsafe for the car breaks. The bathroom and toilet are missing soap, and the toilet does not work properly. Overall all this time it was not a great experience.
