I rarely leave negative reviews, but my stay at this hotel was truly awful. From the moment I arrived, nothing went smoothly. I was moved from one room to another multiple times due to various issues, broken air conditioning, plumbing problems. It felt like every time I started to settle in, there was another problem. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unorganized, and while a few tried to be polite, there was clearly no proper management or quality control. After all the hassle, I didn’t even receive a proper apology or compensation for the inconvenience. For the price I paid, I expected at least a clean, functioning room and some professionalism; unfortunately, this hotel failed on both counts. I would not recommend staying there to anyone. There are far better options nearby that actually care about their guests.

I have stayed at the Rand many times, previously called the Coral. Solid common spaces, rooms on par for pricing and breakfast is adequate for a hotel of these level. The only disappointment over the years has been the garbage smell in the lower level pool and gym area. Needs to be better vented as it is a serious negative.

Bad staff, AVOID BREAKFAST

The hotel reception staff are not welcoming the guests. They are silent and not friendly. Every time we go through the front desk - they do not even look at us, leave alone smile or talk to us. The breakfast is just terrible. The pastry are all old and not good. The live counter is removed much early than 10 am. The Bangladeshi waiters are rude and not at all helpful to us during breakfast. Except for the location of the hotel everything about this place is BAD.

Location was good because of the Starbucks and market infront of the hotel. But I didn’t feel like the employees helped to make my stay better. Rooms where big. But they need to have more things or information for tourist.
