Ok, my rating is purely based on the proximity to the Mayo Clinic. If you are looking for an updated chain hotel with its typical amenites (gym, newer tv) this is not it. It is a place that definitely shows its age. However, it is clean, quiet, has helpful staff, and a better than expected daily breakfast. We chose this one for its access to the subway level to Mayo. It allowed us to get the the clinic without going outside when it was -5 degrees. Good Uber service to anywhere downtown as well.
Everything about Brentwood was convenient. The evening desk clerk was friendly and very helpful. The parking was easy. With all the roads closed around Mayo, they allowed me to keep my vehicle in the ramp for hours past check-out.
The staff cleaning the rooms was very helpful. As I stepped into the hall, I realized I had left my key inside. The man who was in the room across the hall saw it and was kind enough to open the door for me so I didn't need to go to the front desk. I would definitely stay there again. The room was very quiet, and there is a tunnel which takes you all across the Mayo campus without going outside.
