This is a lovely property, with charming mid-century decor, great attention to detail. We particularly enjoyed the big picture windows, and deer roaming about. Cheryl was a pleasure to rent from. Thank you!
Spacious house, good for a 3 night stay for our family of 5. Convenient location for visiting with family in the area. On a busy street but not noisy at night. The host is available and responsive. Check in was easy. The house itself is clean and comfortable although shows some signs of wear in places. Overall a very nice experience.
The home was clean and comfortable. The set up of the dining room and living room made socializing comfortable. The home needs an outdoor light to be able to access entrance easily after dark. A trip to the thrift store to replace chipped plates and bowls is needed as is more coffee cups. The dining room chairs also need attention. In general the property was perfect for our get together.
The pics of the listing made the home look cozier and more out together than we found it to be. There were several ceiling spots full of water/and or signs of water damage. One of the bedroom doors had a hole in the back of it. None of the beds were comfortable. No outside lights available to turn on when we left for the day to return to a dark house. The basement is simply sketchy. I wouldnât go down alone to do a load of laundry. Appliances are all really nice, new and upgraded. Bathrooms are renovated. Floors are creaky. I think this was a great effort in remodeling; needs to go several more steps!
The house was nice and convenient to RIT (Rochester Inst of Technology) as we attended graduation ceremonies. Lots of room to spread out with a nice kitchen, LR/DR. Bathrooms in nice shape and the laundry room was convenient. Others have described the "somewhat busy street" ; however, you donât hear any road noise from inside. We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. And, the owner is great as we needed some dining suggestions and they were super helpful. We will definitely stay here again.
The house was very spacious, nicely decorated, and very clean. It has a nice little private deck off the kitchen and a good sized back yard. The beds were comfortable and the living room has lots of pillows for when you want to settle in and watch TV. Cheryl checked in to be sure I had everything I needed. I would definitely recommend the house and I would definitely stay again when visiting family in Rochester. Thank you, Cheryl for your hospitality!
Comfortable, clean, and quiet accommodations off the beaten path, but not too far from things to do. The property shows its age in a few places, but overall itâs a good value.
The house is reasonably priced, nicely equipped, but on a busy noisy four-lane. Otherwise as expected. Kitchen and washer/dryer in good condition.
Odd open stair to basement should have a gate available for families with toddlers.
Stayed at the home by myself with my dog. I felt safe there. Home was clean. Home just a short drive to multiple parks and stores which was convenient. Property manager was very nice.
The house was as pictured. Plenty of space for the four of us, kitchen had everything we needed, beds were fine. The house does sit on a somewhat busy street however you don ât really notice the noise from inside. I would definitely stay here again.
House as pictured, en suite bath very small and overall fine for 4 guests. Needs some care( hole in bedroom door) on a busy street but parking and able to turn around good. Would stay again.
The house was perfect for our family. It was in a great location, close to shopping and eating. Definitely would recommend staying here if visiting the area.
We stayed at this lovely mid-century modern home for a week in November. It was the perfect place to celebrate Thanksgiving with our family while attending athletic events at RIT. The house is equipped with lots of "extras" including everything you need to cook a big meal. It was especially nice to have a small fenced in yard for our dog. The wifi worked great! And there is lots of space for the whole family.
Cheryl made check-in easy with a keyless entry pad and extra keys in a lock box. There is a good size driveway for several cars to park.
We loved exploring the local parks and canal locks which are just a few miles from the house.
We're looking forward to staying here again!
We stayed here so we could visit my daughter at Nazareth College. The house was about 5 minutes away and 10 minutes from downtown Rochester. It was great and we had a wonderful time.
This was just what we needed. Not too big, not small. We were having house projects done and needed to vacate our home for about three days. The backyard was perfect for my little dog to go out throughout the day, and there was enough room inside for my kids to play and have fun.
