My husband and I had our 3 grandsons for the weekend and booked the hotel specifically for the swimming pool. When we arrived to check in we were informed that the pool was not in use due to boiler problems. Evidently there was an ongoing problem and the owners decided not to invest any more money into repairs, without disclosing that info on the website. We were beyond upset! We had driven 2 hours to our sons family Christmas, knew that we didn’t want to drive back after the get together and were excited to check in. Dragged all of our suitcases into the lobby to find out that there was no pool access. I’ll never book at a Comfort Inn again! The process to be reimbursed is a jump through several hoops with Expedia. What a fiasco! The only redeeming point was the check in person, who transferred our booking to a Sleep Inn next door, with a functioning pool.
