We came to Rochester regarding appointments at the Mayo Clinic for my mother. This home was perfect for our family. It had everything that we needed for our almost week-long stay. The best part was not the steps for my elderly mother, and they even had a shower chair and wheelchair available, so we really didn't have to bring all of her mobility assistance supplies! It was also not a long drive to the clinic for appointments. The hosts were very attentive to questions and responded quickly! Thanks for a great experience.
We were in town for extended medical appointments at the Mayo Clinic. This house was perfect for our extended stay. We had our two dogs with us. It really worked well for us and I highly recommend this property.
Iâm going to honest here as we have stayed at many VRBO properties in the past. We had to leave after the first night. This is an old, unimproved house that in our opinion should not be listed on VRBO. The furniture looks to be as old and unkempt as the house. It is a pet friendly house but it had not been cleaned for who knows how long. We immediately had to cover the two recliners and the sofa with sheets because animal hair was all over them. The floors were atrocious and we had to dry mop them to pick up the disgusting amount of animal hair. Several surfaces had not been dusted. There was animal hair on the comforter of a bed. The other bed had animal hair on the sheets. The tub/shower looked disgusting. We didnât use it. The host left a note on the table that said everything in the house is for sale. Honestly it looked like an indoor yard sale. Weâve been told we will be refunded all fees. Thatâs fine but we believe this house should not be an option on VRBO. The reviews are misleading. I doubt seriously that anyone would give this place a 5 star review but thatâs what we saw when we were looking for a property. If I could give a 0 star rating , I would.
Location was easy to get everywhere we needed to go. Nice quiet location. Always amazing to be able to put your vehicle in a garage! Great communication. Would recommend!
Stayed one week. Chose this house for the large area to spread out, recliners in living rooms and close to Mayo. The furniture and beds were comfortable. Firm, medium and soft mattresses to choose from. Just a 7 minute drive to Mayo. Great location as shopping and restaurants directly across the road. I agree with other reviews it is an old house and a bit dusty, but not dirty. We had a couple items that needed to be replaced. Jessica was at the door with replacements within 60 minutes. Two bathrooms and in house laundry sealed the deal. I would recommend this home, if you can over look a bit of dust, as the amenities, comfort and spaciousness of the home make up for it. I would definitely stay again!
Jessica, the manager, was excellent and responded almost immediately. The house was very big. The house was very old. New floors very nice. HOwever, it looked like a thin coat of paint covered everything with either dirt or old colors bleeding through. The large bathroom was a little yucky behind a "make shift "pocket door". So bathroom privacy was mediocre. Lots of towels! Back of couch in the middle was broke and kinda of smelled. Dirty mask under a recliner. Vents covered with thick dust. This house served it's purpose. I loved how much space it provided. The kitchen was well stocked with all our needs. It was easy access to Mayo clinic. The price was fair for what we got, I just wish it was a bit cleaner.
The house was OK. It's an older property. The steps for 2 of us were not the easiest to manage as we've both have had strokes. While we are not really handicapped, except for having to always have to have hand rails to go up & down upstairs, which the property has. The stairs are quite steep. We left a note about needing a few minor things for the manager to improve on for the next people looking at this property.
This property gave our large family a place to stay while visiting family in Rochester for the Thanksgiving holiday. It was spacious, comfortable and clean - perfect.
We stayed here instead of a hotel room. Was a great decision. Much nicer to have our own area and be able to relax and not have kids running up and down the hallways like most hotels. We will be staying here again.
Two families with adult children stayed in this rental for a wedding. There was lots of space to spread out. We appreciated having two tables for eating. Barstools and a kitchen table for hanging eating breakfast and drinking coffee and a LARGE dining room table for dinner. The finished basement was nice for the adult kids to hang away from the parents and provided and extra space for sleeping. Kitchen well supplied, water pressure good for showers. Location is nice for the little amount of exploring that we did. The runner in the group appreciated the trails nearby. This is not a brand new house, things are older but it was clean. The description mentions the stairs and there WERE stairs everywhere. The original architect of the house made a unique, split level floor plan. The young adults this was not an issue. For three of the four old farts in there 60's it was noticed.
No steps was great after surgery. Shower good in main bath. Maybe a dishwasher would be nice and less old scrubby tools laying around the sink. Great dining area. Heater/ thermostat worked very well. Good location to get to Mayo.
We used this house as a "home" base during my Mom's appointments and surgery at Mayo. It was a perfect location for us to take break from the hospital and we loved having plenty of room for everyone.
We were in town for a Christian women's conference. Dream House was a relaxing place for us to have coffee in the mornings and hang out in the evenings. This is the second year we have stayed her and would again in a heartbeat.
This was a clean and comfortable home. Multiple levels and stairs were not a problem for us but could be for some. Host Jessica responded to all inquiries immediately. Much appreciated. Great location.
Our son was married in Rochester and even though we only live an hour away, we needed overnight accommodations. We had family coming from Des Moines, Phoenix, and California. This was so much better because we had additional time together. And it was the same price as the hotel they picked for one room (we would have had 4). Thank you so much for making a hectic time much easier.
Weâve stayed with Jessica before in another one of her houses. Just like before the house was very clean and very well stocked. Her places are so comfortable and feel just like home. Jessica is easy to work with and responds to texts quickly. We will stay with her again!
