Hotel advertised itself as a clean safe space near carowinds but it was nothing of the sort. Initially there being no elevator and being put on the second floor when the hotel was empty was the first red flag but no big deal. Upon entering the room we noticed the carpet was matted and nasty, the chair was ridden with stains, the bathroom toilet was crooked, urine stains on the walls, black stains on the floor of the tub, bathroom vent clogged with dust, bathroom door did not lock, showerhead was filthy, behind the toilet looked like it had never been cleaned with a thick layer of grime around the water line, bedsheets were dirty, walls and ceilings were filthy and roaches started appearing throughout the room as well. Hotel reeked of cigarette smoke with a no smoking policy. Vending machine and ice machine were both broken; cords looked as if rats chewed through them. Also a holding deposit with a higher cost than the booking itself is excessive. Front desk clerk was not at all shocked when I mentioned I did not want to stay there within an hour. DO NOT STAY HERE AT ALL COSTS

My boyfriend and i had our 3 boys (his 11 yr old and my 11 and 13 yr old) plus his childs 11 yr old friend and we had an amazing time. Felt safe and comfortable enough to let our kids eat up front by themselves. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. Will be staying thete again when possible.

I had a late check in as I instructed on my booking. When I arrived for my late check in, I was greeted by the staff. Gave me my room assignment and told me where to go. As I began my walk down the hallway I was greeted by a musky smell, if I had to describe it would be like wet towels that had been left in the washing machine to long. When I got to my room and open the door, it was 2 double beds not made up, trash all in the room, let me remind you I booked a King With the instructions late check in. I went back to the front desk and the person was gone so I had to ring a bell like 5 times before anyone came. I explained to the gentlemen what was going on with that room he gave me and explained I booked a King. He began his search through his computer then hands me another card and said your room is upstairs and began to show me where to go. He walked me to a set of stairs and the mildew smell was horrible and I was thinking of leaving at this point but I really needed to stay because it was non-refundable at this point. When I got to my room and open the door, it was another 2 double beds, yet again I remind you I booked a King. So I made a trip down stairs and spoke with the very polite guy and said I think you gave me the wrong room... He said why is that and I said if you look at my booking it say King, not 2 double beds. He then gets on his computer and say we over booked... Not I'm sorry, let me see what I can do with the price you paid. Nothing... Bed slept good.

The pictures in the listing show a place that pays attention to details and a taste for design. I found average everything. The floor in the hallway was dirty. It was a place to stay and did the job…but not aesthetically pleasing.

Family fun trip for Carowinds

Would definitely stay here again! Rooms and beds were very comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the breakfast. Wish pool was open. Great value for the price!

For the price, the property was on point. Very affordable. Could have been cleaner, but there were no bugs & linens were clean. Bathroom extremely small with no hairdryer nor soaps or lotions. Exterior looked nice, but had zero seating other than by the pool. Pool was closed due to rain one day. No storms, just showers. My daughter was bored & disappointed as the evening before with same weather, it was open. The hallways to room smelled of marijuana. To be a non-smoking facility, it was very overpowering and unpleasant.
