Great stay in Rockford

We were visiting family in the area and wanted a place in a quiet neighborhood but was still close to the city and surrounding areas. This place fit the bill exactly. The house has a game room for teens/adults and a lovely sun porch/ play area for smaller children.

Close to downtown

This property offers big city living with a touch of cozyness. Place is,as it says, like staying in a cabin(complete with wild turkeyes...cool) while being close to all the activity downtown. Place was clean and comfortable and hosts were easy to contact. Highly recommend staying here

DO NOT stay at this property

We planned on staying at this property for two nights for a weekend away with family. Upon arrival, we found the back ‘children’s play area’ smelling of marajuana, as well as several bedrooms having beds with stains, some appearing to be blood. One of the downstairs beds smelled as if a wet dog had slept in it the night prior. We left, choosing to stay elsewhere. Upon contacting the host, our requested refund wells denied. I will be filing a complaint with VRBO. Maybe OK for a college frat party, but only if your party accepts foul conditions. Strongly recommend staying away! First time having this type of issue with VRBO, I can only hope the company is more accommodating than the host.

Nice spacious home in convenient locstion i Rockford

Stayed here over Christmas with my family of 5 including kids 4-9 and my sister’s family with two similarly aged kids. Host very responsive and made checking in and out a breeze. Space was comfortable and well heated, areas for kids to sleep and a play space downstairs with foosball, skeeball, ping pong, and an old arcade console with 12 old but still fun games. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen was reasonably well stocked with appliances and plates.

Nice Rockford House

We had a very enjoyable stay at this home. We where a group of friends that came down to Rockford for a night to enjoy a show. The house was very comfortable for 6 adults. The basement game room was a hit ! The beds where very comfortable. And the neighborhood was nice, quiet, with large yards and was close to downtown.

Lovely property

We had a group of 5 stay for one evening. The property is nice, railings on the stairs going in to the house would be helpful. We had an HVAC issues which did not get resolved, making the house rather cold. The owner sent in a repair person that night but it wasn’t able to be fixed. ( I am sure it is by now.) He was responsive and sympathetic to our problem. Very clean.

This cabin is only suited for 8 people. The couches are too hard to sleep on unless you bring an air mattress. There are only six chairs at the table. The plastic chairs on the front porch were broken with cracked seats. The faucet in the upstairs bathroom was broken. The washer dial was broken. I had to just hope I picked the right cycle. There is a hole in the floor that is half floor register and half plastic with a plant on top to keep it from sliding around. The light over the stove is out. There are ants in the bedroom on the tiny child's stepstool that doubles as a bedside table. There are no chairs or dressers or luggage stands in the bedrooms so everything goes on the floor. There were hangers and shelves in one bedroom. The bunkbeds squeak. The step into the covered porch is high. We had four children with us and they did enjoy the playroom and the basement games. The air conditioning downstairs was good but I had to keep resetting the thermostat because it is programed to 83. There are rusty light fixtures and upstairs is not updated. The queen bed as they had it is too close to the slanted ceiling so my son and his wife hit their heads a few times before they moved the bed to another wall. Lightbulbs out in various places. For the money it just wasn't great. The kitchen is updated and clean but there are ant traps where a small child could get them. Its a beautiful yard and good location but unfortunately just not great.

We came from Florida for my uncle’s funeral in Rockford. Our weekend stay was good under the circumstances. The property location is great. The front yard is amazing! The house was cute and good size. If I ever find myself in Rockford again
 this is where we would choose to stay!

Quick stop on family road trip

Comfortable beds, the kids area in the sunroom was amazing for our one year old after hours in the car and the teen and preteen loved the gaming area. We didn’t want to stop in Chicago and this spot in Rockford worked out great for us.

The property was amazing! My wife and I got married nearby at the Rockford City Market and chose this house to stay at after the wedding. It was us along with the groomsman and bridesmaid and we all had a fabulous time. Staying up late playing ping pong and board games. Great experience and would definitely come back again. Thank you 🙏

We had a great time in Rockford. The house was located within a 15 minute drive of every place we visited. So convenient! Saw turkeys in the front yard every morning! Very relaxing. Loved the game activities in the basement. A great teen bonding time.

Great Home

We had a great stay at this property. We had come back to Rockford for a family funeral and knew we needed 3 bedrooms for our children in a safe and quite location. This was absolutely perfect alternative to 2-3 hotel rooms. The home was great, the toys were a wonderful touch. Everything is there for a really great stay. Thank you so much for having us!
