This is a lovely building, great location, well priced with a great team.
The Friday & Saturday night bar & music however go very late (ie 1am and 3am) & reverberate throughout the building shaking the top floor accommodation.
I will stay here again but not on weekends.
grand old Heritage building on the river. Beautiful parklands Close to food nice hot shower
bit noisy in the morning - woken by council blowing paths & vehicle street sweepers at 5 a.m. Very noisy way too early!
bit noisy at night at the hotel downstairs, and the neighbour in the room and on balcony til 1am
i miss sleep âšđâš
My room was on a balcony shared with noisy neighbours and my room was a rather small and cramped. However it was clean and tidy and very reasonable value for money
2Nd night worse for noise than 1st.. no fault of staff, men drinking, yapping, men most wouldn't want to tell to stop it, including me, even after 1am.. then council sweepers at 5am, so loud, impossible to rest there sadly... also one of the men wiped poo on toilet wall and many seemed unwell, loud coughs in morning.. never again, but staff were great!
Hotel was fantastic a must stay.
Just a note that I had no remotes for A/C or TV in my room but did not require them.
Great morning views from balcony.
It's a beautiful old hotel. Rooms were clean, but extremely hot. Bathroom was a bit disappointing but did us well for an overnight stay. Staff friendly. Food was good. Train staff on pricing before they deal with public. Stairs to rooms need more light otherwise it could be devastating to hotel and persons using dark areas.
This is my second stay at Heritage. I did not have any troubles whatsoever. The only thing I would strongly recommend is that the aircon in room 5 should be changed urgently.
The staff were friendly and helpful from the beginning as I didn't know where the entrance was but inside they were rushed as it was busy at the bar. After walking up 5 flights of stairs, I opened the door toa "sauna" even with the fan on. Having a 5 year old, the toilets being right down the other end of the hallway, this ended up being hard. The next morning when we we're supposed to leave, rushing to the toilets at 6am turned out to be a very long day in end as we were completely locked out of the room until a staff member finally showed up at 2.30pm. she was really good and very apologetic about the situation and did everything she could to get a manager in to supply keys to open the door so we could finally leave. A gentleman in the room opposite was very kind enough to phone the 'out of hours' number- TWICE but no-one answered. When I confronted the manager about this, all he had to say was that he left it at work and didn't think it would be a big deal because it was Sunday.
I will not recommend this place toany of my family and friends at all.I wasn't even offered any type ofcompensation for having towait for anyone.Cleaners don't go in there on Sundays to clean or get the rooms prepped for new customers to check in as they don't docheck ins on that day. Dirty linen lying around, rubbish bins not emptied for a whole day.
Not exactly ideal
