We stayed 2 nights in what I would call a small shared appartment. 2 bedrooms (a decent 4beds one, and a TINY double bed one) with common utilities: a small kitchenette and a bathroom with a toilet and a rundown, paint-flaking, teeny tiny bathtub.
The first night, our room-neighbors were 6 guys, and it was a nightmare! They were loud and inconsiderate, coming in and out, slamming the door every time, hanging out with their door open until 1am. The isolation is bad enough as it is, but like that it was as if they were right in our room. No privacy whatsoever. In the morning they woke up early and were incredibly noisy as well.
On the second day the next bedroom was occupied by 2 young girls and this time it was much better as they were polite and considerate and we barely heard them.
The location is great especially because the train station is central to trains, both metro lines and very convenient to get to the airport. There can be weird people in front of the train station but the appartment is very quiet in itself.
The woman handling reservations and guests, Diana, is very nice, efficient and helpful, however the cleaning ladies were unprofessional (had a big argument/tantrum right in front of us) and don't speak English, barely Italian, which makes it impossible to communicate. They did a good job, but it can become dirty very fast depending on your neighbors!
So yeah, mixed feelings about this appartment (reluctant to call it a hotel)...
