We really enjoyed our 7-night stay at Relais Monti and would highly recommend it. The hotel is in a great neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, shops, and groceries nearby, plus a laundry shop right on the same street (we dropped clothes off and picked them up just a few hours later). Two excellent gelato places and a metro stop are within a 3-minute walk, the Colosseum is 15 minutes away, and Termini station is also close. The area felt safe and very local. The building is older (with a very slow elevator), but the rooms are modern, clean, and well equipped. We wished there was a coffee machine, but the kettle with instant coffee, tea, and hot chocolate was fine, and bottled water was provided the first night. The only downside was that the sink couldn’t be filled, so in-room laundry wasn’t possible. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooftop terrace is a lovely bonus. Overall, a comfortable, convenient base for exploring Rome.

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Bed is comfortable with good air-conditioning. The location is prime. Walking distance to very good restaurants mainly Bar Monti (3 minute walk). Very close to Roma Train Station and Cavour Station. Rome Colosseum is 15 minutes walk. Around the corner is a water fountain. The only thing elevator is very small and slow lol. But area is safe.

The place is in a great area, close to major attractions, with good restaurants and cafes, but the hotel itself was one of our worst experience as we could not sleep due to a leaking toilet that made a loud noise and kept us awake all night. Issue was noted when we checked-in and entered the room. We informed the front desk. They promised to fix while we went out for dinner but did not. I booked this hotel thrusting the rating given by Orbitz but other than the good location the place was a major disappointment and a nightmarish experience. We wanted to rest before our 10 hours flight back home but could not. I will file a formal complaint with Orbitz.

Hotel is very close to the Cavour metro station which is only one stop from the terminal station so very convenient. Lovely cafes on near street for cheap breakfast and dinner. There is a lift so is great for heavy luggage. Beds are comfy and staff are helpful.
