The Mountain Hideaway was the best part of our vacation. The home is clean and beautiful. Very quiet country area with lots of room. The address was confusing our gps. We found our host by accident and he assisted us to find the property. I would suggest that all vrbo hosts send their phone number in advance directly to clients several days in advance of their stay. I very much look forward to staying there again.
The host was great, he communicated with us very well and gave us very simple instructions for arrival and departure from his rental home. The home was exactly as stated and very comfortable. We had four separate bedrooms snd the beds were very comfortable. We plan to come back in the fall.
The host was great when we couldn't find the house. When you find Ravens Way drive straight til you see a large rock sculpture and turn right and the house is at the end
The setting was awesome, private and beautiful. The house was large and well maintained. Only problem was in finding it. Ended up at the owner's house who graciously escorted us to the house. Highly recommend owner this place.
Second year we have stayed here. Excellent place making family memories. Owner communicates quickly. Really enjoy the peacefulness and relaxation sitting outside.
This property is exactly what we were looking for. It is remote but close enough to town. Propertu manager was very cordial and the rental is great. We enjoyed our wild and wonderful weekend full of music, food and views.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The house was just as described and in a very peaceful location. Host was very helpful and responsive when a question came up.
Had a wonderful time at Mountain Hideaway. We so enjoyed all the wildlife that visited in the mornings & evenings! Nothing needed; host provides everything for you to have a nice stay. Also, he responded promptly to all communications. Would definitely recommend to others.
This place is amazing! The property was immaculate and very inviting. Cozy and peaceful home away from home, and stocked with everything you need for your stay. The host was very friendly and communicative if there were any problems (there weren't). Sitting on the porch swing enjoying the beautiful views and looking for wildlife, as well as enjoying s'mores in the firepit were our favorite things to do. We were just passing through for the night, but plan to bring our children next time and enjoy this place longer.
Ben has the best communication out of any other host Iâve spoken to at other houses. He is very helpful and there to answer any questions you have. The house was very nice and the property was very peaceful and quiet. Itâs like you are tucked away in a peace of heaven but close enough to town.
Stayed at this house with two friends. We were attending a training facility that we visit annually, and this location was minutes away. No cell service was a plus for us. We like to actually unplug when we come to West Virginia. But there was wifi - so we could text our families and FaceTime the kids goodnight. Owner of the property was quick to respond to messages but didnât feel the need to come be involved with us at all (which we also really appreciated).
The only negative, which I shared with the owner, was that there were no shades or blinds on most of the windows. There were at some point and it looks like maybe they took them all down to do some painting. In the mornings that was a great way to wake up. Huge windows of the beautiful West Virginia wilderness. At night though, it was a bit odd. Itâs literally just the woods outside but it would have been nice to close the blinds.
We would love to stay at the property again next year, and are very appreciative of the owners for letting us rent their house this year.
The home was clean, accurately represented in the pictures, and fit our whole family comfortably. Ben was responsive and even came out one evening to take care of a wasps nest. The home is about 15 minutes from Lewisburg but a beautiful drive.
