First of all the area is beautiful and the property is amazing. The detail the host put into the location is outstanding. Anyone who loves The Hobbit will love this place. However, it is not for anyone with mobility issues. To get to the sleeping areas or only bathroom you need to be able to step up over a large and wide threshold from the big round door. To reach the toilet you need to be able to step up into the closet it is locate in, and to get into the beds you need to be able to jump up a bit or climb over the side rails. (think of the scene where Frodo is in the giant bed after being rescued from Mt Doom) This is that bed, though instead of being made for elves it is made for large Northmen. All hobbits, and dwarves will need assistance to climb in. My wife has serious mobility issues and only with great difficulty was able to get into the lowest bed. Even so she loved our stay and was glad to have had the experience. The experience is worth the trouble, but if you are unable to navigate steps or handle getting up and down from high places (or low seats) this may not be for you.
The details that the owner has put into this property are just incredible! The kitchen and living room are fantastic! The only downside is an extremely steep driveway that is a bit difficult to traverse via vehicle or on foot. This is also in the basement of someoneâs home and the floorboards above are quite noisy & the owners were walking around throughout the middle of the night the last night we were there but the other two nights we slept pretty well.
This place is a hidden gem!! The attention to detail in every room was extremely well thought out and added a bit of magic to every space. The primary bed is like sleeping on a cloud and we still canât stop talking about it! Lol we will definitely stay here again the next time we pass through town.
Great stay- everything was clean, comfortable. A lot of thought and hard work has been put into the creation of this unique place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Hobbit House.
Had a great time at the Hobbit house! Very clean and super comfortable king bed!! With the decor and the hand crafted hobbit doors it wasnât hard to fantasize we were living in Bilboâs home!
Great place! Living room with the giant couch was awesome and the outside fire pit was a nice touch. Kitchen and dining room had plenty of space. We got snowed in and the host reached out to make sure we had everything we needed.
A true adventure stay! Beautiful details, delightful kitchen, living area, and curiosities everywhere. Don't overlook the Viewmaster on the desk in the master bedroom. (Additional discs are to the top right of the hutch.) I will be booking again! Thank you!
The details were so impressive! This was such a unique property that I totally think everyone should see at least once, especially if you are a Lord of the Rings fan, but even if you aren't, it's still cool.
I booked this place to surprise my husband, after some medical issues kept us home from a planned trip to New Zealand, and he was truly pleased! The place was clean, bed was very comfy, and the detail of the decor was enchanting! We enjoyed making our "first breakfasts" in the beautiful and well-stocked kitchen, watching the movies, exploring the Russellville area, and even showering in a "waterfall"! We were able to park our Prius by the entry, of what was a bit of a steep driveway, with no problems. We recommend a trip to the restaurant at the Lodge at Petit Jean State Park, also with some great hikes, and highly recommend this Hobbit House stay to others! We would stay here again, and recommend others bring their favorite coffee to enjoy around a campfire, or while watching and reliving the Hobbit all over again!
We loved everything about our stay in the Hobbit Home! Everything was clean & comfy & very relaxing! Cabin is on a quiet street and close to everything but feels miles away, which we loved, plus close to several local wineries that are wonderful! We plan to come again soon â€ïžâ€ïž Christie Welch
The amount of work the host has put into the decor of this place is amazing. It was a fun place to stay. If you have the chance to text or speak to the owner its an impressive story about the work done to create this space. The location was easy to get to and a short drive into town.
We loved our stay. We cooked and ate like a hobbit, and it was perfect to visit our son in a staycation away from home. The host was very hospitable, and we will be back in the future.
This trip was a college graduation gift for my Tolkien Fan Daughter. The house is beautifully done in every room! We were so impressed, and had an amazing time. Excellent communication from the host as well. We would definitely like to come here again!
I booked this place as a surprise anniversary get away. We loved our stay here. We enjoyed staying in watching The Lord of the Rings right next to the beautiful hobbit door! We also enjoyed venturing out to some great State Parks: Less than 10 minutes from Lake Dardanelle and about 45 min from Petit Jean. The Hobbit House also seemed like it would be a great getaway for a family or friends who love Tolkien. Kitchen is great if you want to cook your own meals and the couches and bed are comfy. You can hear noises from upstairs, so light sleepers may want to pack a noise machine.
We are local to the area so it was an easy trek across town. It was a fun weekend getaway for my husband and me. Everything was clean. Bed was comfy. We were supplied everything we needed and what wasnât there was retrieved from a quick trip down the road to restaurants and other shopping. Lots of thought was put into creating this space and the owner keeps it well maintained. Will definitely stay here again!
We spent a week at this beautiful fairytale of a place living like hobbits and it was magical! Plenty of cooking supplies to make whatever you want and the host is very responsive and helpful!
Absolutely Loved it! But don't bring your toddler and buy wine before you come!
The detail and effort in the decor and design of this place was simply fantastic! Well worth the trip. I did have my 15 month old toddler with us , that was my only downside. There are many treasures inside the hobbit house that I had to protect from little tiny curious hands. Also there was a stairway that made me nervous for a curious climber. But I still found time to soak , relax and enjoy the clawfoot tub. The couch is the bomb, the beds are the bomb, the entire house is fantastic!
This property was so ornate and cozy. We spent our evenings binge watching the entire Hobbit series, and our days cooking and hiking a short drive away. The beds and couches were extremely comfortable. I took so many photos of the details, carvings, decorations, and aesthetic. We cooked full meals in the kitchen, which had plenty of cookware. The setting is under the owners home, and we heard him playing piano- which was a cool vibe tbh. We would definitely go back.
This property was just liked described. It has some great decorations and the woodworking was by far the best I've seen in my life.
The beds were comfy and the house was clean. Thanks so much.
The property was just as described and it is amazing the attention to detail with the design and decor. The kitchen was fairly well stocked and the appliances were higher end. The beds were super comfy. The spa shower was great and the bathtub, a plus after a long day of hiking. The hobbit house is very convenient to shopping, restaurants and state parks. We truly enjoyed our stay!
