Overall the cottage was great, it was nice to have your own space with no shared walls and a parking spot right next to it. The bed was comfortable. However, the bathroom is where I'm taking a point off (and should probably take off more)...there is absolutely nowhere to put your toiletry kit or even your toothbrush, there's nowhere near the shower to hang your towel (the only rack is on the other side of the bathroom so you're dripping water everywhere while you grab it), the shower is tiny, the window just has a see through curtain on it (no blinds or anything), and it is not well insulated at all so if the door to the bathroom is is shut, the bathroom becomes freezing. It was all annoying to deal with for 4 nights, maybe 1 night would've been fine.

I can only speak to the small cabin I was in. It was a sad place. It smelled of cigarettes, it was roughly maintained,. Alot of repairs more than maintenance. You could hear everything in the parking lot, the cabin next door, door slamming. Gaps in the door letting the breeze in. It is a tiny cabin. I was only there for sleep, didn't hang around. About a $20 Lyft ride to Portland. it was early Oct. so not a whole lot of tourist things in Saco

This is a low budget place. The heater did make a strange noise so I was a bit nervous with that on. And it was a pain to listen to tv because of it blowing. Freezer needed defrosting, but the place was clean and nice

The staff is beyond excellent and very kind. Which makes writing a review like this so tough. Our ceiling light didn’t work it was ready to blow so it kept flashing. The floor in our cottage is slanted near the bed and nightstand so the nightstand kept falling forward and our stuff sliding off. The mini fridge was covered in dust and some substance splattered on door. We had them come in and clean twice and they never touched the dirty parts of the room, the fridge included. Dust and cobwebs/dirt behind the tv and the tv is aimed at a wall. So you can’t watch it from the bed. Dirty and dusty on all the bottoms of the walls, nightstand, you name it. Windowsills were dirty. Only room that was clean was bathroom which we did appreciate. The view behind the cottages in the back is a pile of junk/old acs under plastic and two buildings with the siding removed. The swing seen in the pictures is in very rough shape. And the photos showed a bath tub which we were looking forward to but didn’t have. This was our low budget honeymoon and it just really disappointed me the conditions we were sleeping in for the weekend. Again, staff is beyond kind and personable and we loved running into the woman we did see. But it was not clean.

Property was clean and the flower beds at entrance were a beautiful welcoming touch. Cabins were sparsely furnished but so welcoming. Everything you need. It was just an overall good experience.

Room was clean and the bed comfortable but the cabin was very dated and shabby, the check in is a bit vague too, the website gives different times to those shown on the hotel door but obviously you can see the sign on the door till you get there! Ring ahead if you going to be late is my advice.

Less than a one star rating !!

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Was definition not up to standards. Carpet was ripped, walls and doors were nasty and the beds were very lumpy. Stay away !!
