The room was clean adequately, the staff was helpful, fun, and kind. The lifeguards were diligent and took initiative to have kids follow the rules. The waterpark was definitely the highlight of our trip! It was clean, plenty of seating options with tables, and had things to do for all ages.

Room was dated and well not clean. Chair in the room was full of food and cereal…gross Kids running around, screaming up and down the halls at all hours…everywhere.. which I guess is expected with a water park…front desk staff was a joke…rude…check in at 4:00 no earlier…check out at 11:00, not a minute late or they charge you another $100 for late check out. Bavarian Inn has really gotten petty with what they do and you can see they are absolutely money, hungry just getting people in and out like cuddle and they’ve lost their touch with customer service. We had a seminar in the building that started at 8 AM and ended at 12:30 and they would not budge with a checkout. Soooo everyone had to leave the seminar early and miss the last hour and a half because we had to check out. The other option would be to wake everybody up and kick them out at a The other option would be to wake everybody up and kick them out at 8 AM and let them sit in the lobby while I’m in a seminar all day…Absolutely a joke. We will not stay there again. There are so many other hotels in Frankenmuth that are clean and professional and courteous.

I am beyond angry with our experience at Bavarian Inn, and this issue is not over — we will be speaking with management tomorrow. My family doesn’t have much time, so when we finally take a vacation, we expect the absolute bare minimum: a clean room and basic respect. We normally stay at Splash Village, which is clean, organized, and has friendly staff. We chose Bavarian Inn this time and instantly regretted it. At check-in, we were told that because we booked through an outside site, our problems were basically not their concern. Then they handed us a room that was filthy — clearly never cleaned from the previous guests. Dirty room, dirty sheets, and zero quality control. Completely unacceptable. The waterpark closes at 8 PM. We checked in at 4 PM and lost over an hour of our already limited time while they “figured it out.” When an employee finally brought a new key, his attitude was unbelievable. He actually said, “I don’t know what you want me to do. I already gave you a new room,” and then offered free mini golf like that was some kind of favor. That’s not compensation — that’s an insult. I was with my family and didn’t want to cause a scene, but that doesn’t mean this was handled correctly. I didn’t take the golf or anything else. I just tried to salvage what was left of the trip — which never should have happened in the first place. We will be speaking with management tomorrow because this level of service is unacceptable. I think for the price you have to pay, the food quality should be a little better. Also, if you booked a room and have a sleeping baby in stroller coming from water park, they shouldn’t be so strict over towels. They made me wake my baby to unwrap him from his towel to leave the waterpark area and go back to our room.

Very expensive but the place is impressive. Huge indoor water park. Hotel is clean, room was clean, and all of the staff there are very nice people. The water park was included in the room & board but the ropes course cost extra. The only downside was the beds were not comfortable (the mattresses were very firm) and the HVAC was quite loud. The furnace was in a closet right by the window, and each time that thing kicked on during the night it woke us all up. So, we all got segmented sleep during each night we were there. All in all, the place is worth going to. Our room cost $352.50 per night, but that may have been because it was on President's day that we were all there. I'd go again if they offer a better deal per night. Downtown Frankenmuth is a short walk across a covered bridge from there, so it's in a great location. We only had food at the hotel one night, at the sandwich restaurant at the water park. Food was good and reasonably priced, but we didn't get drinks because it cost $5 per cup with no refills. I got the kielbasa, my wife and one son got smash burgers, and my other son got a cheeseburger. I think there are multiple restaurants there, but we bought food at Kroger that we brought in; probably more healthy that way. That water park is what makes the place fun; you can spend hours there, we sure did.

The check in process had a line so long it went into the guest room hallway. Total chaos. That’s after you already submitted a pre check in. Really mad when the offered us an extended check out option, wasted my time paying for it only to be denied the option. Really set the tone.
