In die Jahre gekommen....

Pros: Lage, Grundsubstanz des Hotels (Garten, Pool, niedrige Häuser im typischen Erscheinungsbild der Insel)
Cons: Renovation und mehr Leben ins Hotel bringen (abends war tote Hose, für einen Drink an der Bar um 22h musste man sich praktisch schon entschuldigen).
Location: Nicht direkt am Strand, aber in ca. 5-10min. zu fuss erreichbar. Restaurants in der Umgebung vorhanden.
Bereits vor ungefähr 20 Jahren habe ich einmal einen Aufenthalt im Hotel Swalibo gehabt. Damals wirklich eine ausgezeichnete Wahl bzgl. Preis/Leistung auch hinsichtlich Restauration und zugemieteter Infrastruktur am Strand für Hotelgäste. Das Hotel hat sich leider nicht verändert resp. der damalige Zustand konnte nicht aufrecht erhalten bleiben. Das grundsätzlich hübsche Hotel wirkt zwischenzeitlich abgewohnt, eine Renovierung (mehr als nur ein paar Pinselstriche) wären dringend notwendig. Das Frühstück war etwas lieblos und bot wenig Überraschungen.

Joli hôtel et personnel très chaleureux. Cadre sympathique avec la piscine au centre. La chambre et salle de bain mériterait un coup de rénovation...

Équilibre imparfait

L'hôtel est bien situé du côté de la Saline les Bains. L'accueil est bon cordial. La mauvaise surprise vient de l'état des chambres ! Meubles vieillots, matelas fatigué et inconfortable, climatisation du siècle dernier, salle de bain avec moisissure aux murs, plafonds, joints jaunis et noircis, toilette bruyante au niveau de la tuyauterie. Passé ces mauvais points, il faut souligner le calme et la beauté du jardin, la propreté des parties communes, la présence du jacuzzi, la boisson d'accueil et la serviabilité du personnel. D'où un équilibre imparfait, qui se manifeste aussi au niveau du prix des chambres pour un hôtel qui méritait sans doute mieux.
