Booked a 2 room for 3 adults. Walked in not knowing what it would be like and our first impression was “adorable” followed by cute, clean, wow, perfect!!! If you plan to stay a night or a week this is a wonderful little gem!!

This hotel was a short half mile walk into downtown Salida which has restaurants and shops along the Arkansas river. The two bed room on the 2nd floor was spacious and included a microwave and refrigerator. The hot tub at the hotel was small but we enjoyed relaxing in it on a cool day. There was a coffee pot in the room, but the amount of coffee provided was not enough to brew a full pot. The lobby didn't open until 8am daily. Being a hotel with likely many guests having to leave early in the morning, I think the lobby should've opened no later than 7am.

We loved the location, flowers, and feel upon check in. The hot tub was also a great feature. The coffee maker in the room was nice given we're early risers, but after making 2 cups of weak coffees with the small amount of grounds provided in mini-Tupperwares, we were eager to tuck into the hot coffee promised in the lobby at 8am. Sadly, the lobby door was locked at 8am and still at 8:03am, ultimately leaving us no choice but to drive into town to purchase our own coffee grounds. 8am already seemed a tad late for making lobby coffee available, but goodness--you better have it available right at 8am!

Salida’s Woodland Hotel was the best.

Location was good and room was very comfortable and clean for the five of us. Kitchen and bathroom was well equipped with all our needs. We have stayed multiple times when in Salida.
