The description of the house is accurate and the cleanliness of the rental was perfect. The neighborhood was amazing with restaurants and access to the water within walking distance.
This cottage is a relaxing location in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed being off the beaten path, while still having several restaurants within walking distance. The bar at the end of the street had great views of the sunset and I could watch the wind farm all day (off in the distance). It is not very touristy - we enjoyed being able to interact with locals and it was a very different vibe than the fast pace of San Juan! The hosts are great - we had some challenges finding the location but they quickly got us back on track. I would make a suggestion that they include the street number in their sign-in instructions to avoid future guests having the same trouble. One last thought: The neighbors have chickens so if a rooster's crowing bothers you, maybe bring ear plugs. It didn't affect my stay but it started quite early (5:00am). Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this location to anyone traveling to the area!
We loved our time on Calle C. John and Marina were communicative and helpful; super nice. The house was quaint and had everything we needed for the 7 nights we were there. The neighbors were friendly - we agreed that the people in Salinas were the nicest of any people on any vacation weâve ever taken. (I jogged to cafes every morning and was struck by the ease and kindness that people welcomed me with, and was not in an effort to make money; just simply the culture.) We wanted an experience inside of the local culture and away from the tourism of San Juan, and thatâs just what we got in Salinas. We could walk to AMAZING restaurants at night and it was super safe. The small beaches were walkable too. Busy on the weekends when locals came and then quiet on weekdays. We did rent a car to visit more of the coastal towns to both the east and the west, to see Old San Juan for a day and El Yunque forest for hiking, which was helpful (and very inexpensive). If you want an authentic PR experience, come here! Weâd definitely go back. PS - My partner speaks fluent Spanish which was helpful but there are enough people who speak English in Salinas that you wouldnât have trouble getting your needs met.
What I like is the variety of restaurants that are at walking distance from the property, the easy access to main roads. The property has everything you need if you want to stay in. Since this is a tropical area the property is equipped with excellent air conditioning.
It was a beautiful experience. I felt like I was at home. I loved the hospitality of the owner on the phone, always making sure we didn't miss anything. very kind. Everything was very clean and close to restaurants and the beach. They are on my favorites list.
This was a cute little house. We definitely got the local feel that we wanted!
When I booked it stated that there was a hot tub, there wasn't. It stated that the beach, shopping and dining was within walking distance. It definitely was but the options were extremely limited. There wasn't any uber or taxi service in the entire area so walking was the only option & most everything was a 20 min walk.
