Loved the place, just didn't catch that it is only part of the house.

Overall, we had a wonderful time! The house and views are delightful. We spent each night on the balcony off the primary bedroom enjoying the sunset.The private deck off the dining room was comfortable and we spent hours reading and enjoying yhr mountain views.The location is super convenient. Easy to get to and get to other places.Communication was excellent.My only downside is that I booked it on vrbo, so I wasn't reading for any details about it being a shared house. The owners live downstairs, which I totally get and I appreciate their home. I just hadn't booked with that in mind. There is a stairwell to thr basement right as you enter the house and that was less than our ideal.My mistake for not reading more closely on the listing.

Lovely Olympus Cove home-away-from-home

This is the second time I have stayed at this house. I grew up in the neighborhood, and rented the house while visiting family, so the location is ideal for me in particular. The house is lovely and very comfortable, both the sleeping arrangements and the kitchen and living area. The view of the valley is fantastic. There's a nice little public park with some low-impact walking paths right at the end of the cul-de-sac the house is in; it's easy to miss but good for a wake-up walk or after-hours hanging out. I really like this place and recommend it if you want to stay in this part of town.

My family stayed at this house for a week for a ski vacation. It's a great house, convenient, well laid-out, quiet at night, and with great views of SLC and the mountains. Good beds. The hosts were very responsive to any questions we had.

Luxurious home with beautiful view and nice amenities

This is a beautiful house with three full bedrooms and a great view of the valley. Everything was clean, comfortable, and cozy. The kitchen was well-appointed with good knives, silverware, pans, glasses, etc., even a crockpot that we used for chili. The hosts were communicative and attentive with thorough instructions, several ways to contact them, and labels on almost everything, but they also stayed completely out of our way. It snowed one day we were there, but the driveway and walkway were promptly shoveled and salted! We also appreciated the other luxury touches - furniture on the outdoor porch, a heated toilet seat in the master bath, a well-loved massage chair, and two gas fireplaces in living and dining rooms. The location was perfect for us. Besides the fantastic view, it's very convenient to everything needed: grocery store, all canyons, and freeway. Be aware there are no stores really walkable, you need a car. Like everything else in Olympus Cove, it's up a short steep hill, so it could get a little dicey if there's a lot of snow, so be prepared.

Very nice property with excellent views. Quiet and relaxing. Bathrooms fully updated and exceeded expectations. Bedrooms were nicely decorated. Beautiful neighborhood. Only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the lovely patio and views.

Wonderful house in SLC

Had a great stay, house was clean and well taken care of. Convenient location and views of the valley. Cooking wasn't ideal since cookware was a bit dated. Glad there are a lot of places nearby to eat. I would stay there again for sure.

Spectacular views, thoughtful upgrades

I travel extensively for work so when I get the opportunity to take a family trip I want the place we stay to feel special. This rental lived up to all our expectations. The views from both the front and back of the unit were spectacular with beautiful landscaping on the property. Inside, my teenagers were thrilled with the massage chair and my husband and I enjoyed it, too. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a few light meals and the house was very comfortable with lovely decor. The master bath is especially impressive and I enjoyed the soaking tub with spectacular views of Salt Lake City. All in all this was a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay in this rental property again. The owners were immediately available to me when we had a slight problem accessing the unit when we arrived. The door code I needed was not immediately obvious in the communication I had received from VRBO. The owners answered my call at 9:30 pm at night and got me into the unit right away. Thank you Dwight and Fred! Highly recommend!

Lovely Olympus Cove house!

We had a lovely stay at the Olympus Cove Chalet. The house was well-equipped with dishes and other things to make our stay comfortable. The house manual was clear and concise, and everything was well-labelled. We will certainly keep this place in mind the next time our travels bring us to Salt Lake. Thank you!

Wonderful accommodations

This was a beautiful, clean and well laid out upper floor. We loved all of the helpful little signs telling us where things are. We used the kitchen to cook 4 dinners and we had all of the tools we needed. We loved the living room for the view and the fireplace to relax after a great day skiing. The dinning room table was our favorite place for game night. We used this as our jumping point to ski Solitude and Snowbird. Any questions we had before our visit and during was answered quickly. Would love to come back here for another ski vacation in the future.

great location, listing needs updates

Fantastic location for a ski trip. Was really looking forward to the massage chair that was highlighted in the listing and some of the comments, however it was not working. In addition, we were asked not to use the fireplace in the main living room which was disappointing. While the listing does mention the owners in the lower level of the home, its worth recognizing that we could hear conversations, music and a dog barking at times including later in the evening. overall a very nice vrbo, just increasing transparency with this review.
