Baywatch Cottage – Long Island, Bahamas April 2–10An outstanding stay from start to finish. Debbie and Phillip are exceptional hosts. They met us at Stella Maris Airport and escorted us directly to the cottage. Cozy, comfortable, and right on the bay, Baywatch delivers exactly what you're looking for if you want to unplug and recharge.Long Island itself is a gem. Up north: the Columbus Monument, the stunning beach at Cape Santa Maria, and rum punches with Shawn at the Busted Bridge. Down south: Gordon's Settlement, another gorgeous white-sand beach with turquoise water, and great conversation (and rum punches) with Earnest, who knows this island inside and out. In between, don't miss Dean's Blue Hole, the Shrimp Hole, and stops at the Vantage Point (ask for Ash), Dapple, Tiny's, Chez Pierre (excellent meal), Harbour Club, Sou' Side, and Letta's.Bahama Mama Debbie and Phillip will take great care of you. Highly recommend.

We were at Baywatch Cottage from March 9th through 23. It is perfectly located in Salt Pond and having our own little swim cove with its crystal clear waters and aqua seascape was an added bonus. The cottage is located close to grocery and provision store as well as wonderful sea side restaurants. Our hosts were kind and we felt comfortably at home!

Debbie is the best host ever!!! There were issues booking our flight and she helped us get booked. She met us at the airport so we could follow her to the cottage. As soon as you arrive at the property you know it's such a special place!! The grounds are beautifully kept with all sorts of gorgeous vegetation. The cottage was very clean, and we instantly felt at home. The decor was like shabby chic beachy, but classy not cheap. The kitchen was well stocked with different spices, oils, and even some food items. The screened in porch was so nice and relaxing listening to the ocean. The cove is magical! We saw nurse sharks, sea turtles, stingrays, and a variety of tropical fish. Every morning we'd head down to the dock and watch the sealife. The property is so convenient with a grocery/supply store and liquor store 2 minutes up the road. I cannot stress enough what a magical place it is. As traveling sisters, we felt totally safe. And there's so much privacy and seclusion. I give the rental and the host 10 out of 10!!!!!

Baywatch cottage is absolutely perfect. Silent except for the lapping waves. The bed is very comfortable and all of the amenities were spot on. There is a very good grocery store and liquor store within walking distance. The area beaches were stunning and basically private. Debbie and Philip met us at the airport and escorted us to the cottage. They couldn’t have been more helpful. If you’re looking for a quiet, laid back vacation, this is it. You do need a rental car.

Perfect Engagement Celebration!

This was our first trip to Long Island, and it was perfect! The cottage had the most beautiful views, and we spent every evening outside watching the sun set over the water. Debbie and Phil (as well as everyone we met on the island) were extremely friendly and had great suggestions for things to do, where to eat, and places to visit. It was the perfect place to celebrate our engagement, and we will absolutely be back for the honeymoon!! Couldn’t ask for anything better!

Great place to get away

This is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax! The location is ideal, the beach has turquoise waters, and the house is great for a couple. The people on Long Island are great and the hosts Debbie and Philip were very helpful in finding all the great places on the island and providing a great house!

Unbelievable Beauty and Relaxation

We recently stayed at this incredible waterfront cottage in Long Island, Bahamas, and it was truly a slice of paradise! The property is serene with its cozy cove, concrete dock and deck that allowed direct access to the crystal-clear waters, perfect for snorkeling right on the property. The vibrant marine life is amazing and the cottage itself is packed with thoughtful, wonderful amenities that made our stay beyond comfortable. The host was exceptional—personable and incredibly helpful. She struck the perfect balance between being readily available when we needed her and giving us plenty of space to enjoy our vacation privately. Her warmth and attentiveness made us feel cared for while allowing us to completely unwind. I feel like I made a new friend. Long Island is gorgeous! We frolicked on the most beautiful beaches in the world (alone more often than not!), and went snorkeling over and over, seeing thousands of wonderful fish!Beyond the cottage, the Bahamian locals of Long Island truly added to the experience. Their kindness and willingness to help were memorable. They made us feel welcome and enriched our stay in every way.Getting to Long Island is easier than we thought, and was a fun part of our adventure. We flew to Exuma and took the Sheep Runner Ferry, which runs 2-3 times a week. Captain Fox is experienced and very safe. We hope to visit again! It was like a dream come true!

Elegance By the Sea

Just wonderful. Elegant but not luxurious. Elegant in that the Baywatch Cottage is perfectly matched to its location. Simple but tasteful. A classic sea-side cottage. Secluded yet perfectly situated to explore the many hidden, empty beaches sprinkled around the island like a coral necklace. Our own private cove to access the sparkling azure waters to swim and snorkle. All that we needed was there - within and without. Every sunset was an anticipation of a unique display of nature's fireworks - and then we sat thru the afterglow until the galaxy sowed its own fireworks on the night sky. Soft, warm breezes filled the cottage at night. We connected with the place and with ourselves.Simply elegant and elegantly simple.

Amazing views!

Debbie and Phillip met us at the airport and brought us to the rental. They were so kind and generous. They shared fresh eggs from their chickens and a bottle of wine as it was Sunday and the stores were closed. The cottage was just as described! Thank you for sharing your piece of heaven with us!

Thanks to the host(s) , Ms Debbie was very accommodating and the cottage was perfect. The views are better than the pics, the island is beautiful and the people are so welcoming. Great conversation everywhere you go. The cottage was comfortable and so relaxing. Ms Debbie will give you some tips if it is your 1st time, but wondering the island and going where your feet take you works also. Thanks again for a great stay.

Beautiful waterfront rental

The property was beautiful and the hosts very friendly. The central location on the island made it very easy to explore by car but also had easy access by walking to both the Caribbean and Atlantic beaches. Highly recommended

Our Future Home Island

Sorry for the babbling, but I can't put into words what the experience we had with the house, island, people and most of all the hosts (Debbie and Phillip) of this property. It is our 25th Anniversary and we have spent years going to many all inclusive resorts around the Carribean. Baywatch cottage by far is the most beautiful place we have ever been to. The views are breathtaking, but seeing the wildlife swim by you on the dock was an experience that will be hard to beat. Exploring the island during the day and being shown the exquisite sites by our new lifelong friends Debbie and Philip was an amazing adventure. The beaches are like no other. At night we spent the time watching the fish, sharks, turtles and stingrays swim by. We are sorry it took us so long to find a place like this. It is out of a movie. It is not a question of if we will be back because we already want to book a trip this fall. It sounds too good to be true, we know, but when you go be prepared to want to put roots down on LI. Out of 5 stars... this place is a 10!
