Notre propriété de 3 acres est seulement 20min. marcher de Ganges. Nous nichés cette cabine propre et coquet dans sa propre plantation de cÚdre, séparé de la maison principale.
Votre cabine pour deux a beau éclairage naturel avec pin plafond, plancher de liÚge et un lit haut rembourré de plumes et de draps blancs. Cedar promenades à la plus douce des toilettes sans chasse d'eau dans son propre bùtiment. Outdoor pieds baignoire et lavabo

Our whimsical stay at this little cabin in the woods was just what we needed after a busy summer. Each morning we were greeted by the frogs and the lush scents of the forest. On our second night we were lulled to sleep by the pitter patter of the raindrops. Overall a peaceful getaway.

Forest bathing bliss! Literally! This woodland cabin experience was exactly what I needed as a retreat. There are many thoughtful touches for comfort and luxury in a rustic setting that I delighted in. Tara is a lovely host and added helpful suggestions for my island explorations.

Wonderful forest retreat

This was exactly what we needed after a week of camping on our road trip - this place is so lovely, from the cabin itself (inside and out), to the big trees surrounding it, the pathway through the forest, the delicious breakfast and coffee, and of course the most relaxing bath/shower outside. Tara was so welcoming and was helpful highlighting spots around the island. Would highly recommend and we hope to visit again soon!

Magical, whimsical, total perfection. Tara and Martin have done such an amazing job of this oasis. Every detail is so thoughtful, the only issue was on our end by not booking another night or two here. It was so nice to come from three nights camping to a place so cozy. I already miss the outdoor baths and showers and waking up inside the forest. Thanks for such a wonderful stay

We loved the quiet and simplicity of this little forest retreat. Every day started with a shower on the deck to the sound of birds, and ended with frogs singing at night. The cabin is thoughtfully appointed with so many cozy details. It really felt like coming home at the end of every day.

Absolutely magical stay and host!

This is a perfect stay for someone who is looking to just get away from it all. I went alone for some downtime but I can easily see this being a lovely romantic getaway, too! Hear the birdsong and enjoy a book in the private bath under the leafy trees, or enjoy a takeout charcuterie and color with Tara's great coloring supplies in the cabin. I ADORED the gas-stove that always kept the place cozy, and the mattress is divine, waking up into a picture window of beautiful green. Tara herself is an absolute gem, helping plan easy little walks to the trees (Churchill Trail is easily walkable and a peaceful place to sit in the forest (pictured)) and jaunts into town. She's a wealth of local info and an absolutely lovely person. And practically, the place has everything you need to stay comfy - great coffee included for the French press and cream in the mini fridge, DELICIOUS granola and fresh yogurt and fruit. Treat yourself, stay here! Thank you for such an amazing visit, Tara!! I hope to be back one day!!

A perfect stay

We absolutely loved Tara's cabin in the forest! It was incredibly relaxing and the outdoor tub was such a nice touch. We had such a peaceful time and absolutely loved everything. Tara was super friendly and helpful and gave us great local recommendations. I highly recommend!!

Quiet location is the plus, yet hard to drive to and find. No Kleenex, no extra toilet paper, one breakfast for two night stay (one yogurt each and granola) coffee No indoor plumbing, outhouse only, wifi doesn’t work. Unit had one electrical plug in. Gas fireplace had nowhere to light (pilot only). This stay was a disappointing experience. 😔

Sweet Little Getaway in the Woods

This is a special place, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in this unique private getaway. Loved being surrounded in trees, peaceful and beautiful. Really enjoyed using the outdoor shower, it was kind of exciting! The bed was super comfortable and room was decorated in a very artistic manner. Thanks for an awesome stay!

We had the most amazing stay at the Westover! Rejuvenating and relaxing stay, best sleep I’ve had in a long time! Amazing outdoor shower/tub and the most amazing homemade granola from Tara who was the most incredible host! We cannot say enough good things about our stay, we’d go back in a heartbeat!💓

perfect.

stayed at the west over BnB for 2 nights an it was great, close enough to town but you feel so private and remote tucked away with the trees. Martin was so kind and welcoming, offering great suggestions for the activities I wanted to do; breakfast was delicious and the outdoor tub under the full moon was magic.

This property was beautiful and provided an amazing, unique experience with the outdoor bathtub under the stars with privacy and beautiful ferns and cedars all around. It is “rustic” and the outhouse can be a bit chilly for those midnight bathroom breaks, but the sleeping accommodations and breakfast were cozy, comfortable and lovely! Breakfast was yummy and Tara was super-helpful in pointing out the must-see and so things on the island. While you can walk into the village for meals from here, in November it’s dark early so it’s likely best to have a vehicle to drive out for meals (although there is a bbq, plates and utensils available). I would recommend this accommodation and experience whole-heartedly to others as a rustic, unique, peaceful retreat experience!

Peaceful Retreat in the Forest

We spent three days at this incredible little cabin in the forest and would definitely return. Tara was an amazing host and met us as we arrived with a wave and a promise to bring us some goodies once we were settled. As we pulled up it felt like we had opened a storybook and entered a fairytale setting! The cabin was cozy and clean, the outdoor kitchen cute with fresh flowers and the bed was the most comfy we have slept in while on holiday. Tara came down with fruit, homemade granola, bakery muffins coffee and cream. She had a map of the area and made recommendations and answered all our questions. During our stay she checked in with us online and made sure we were relaxing and offered to bring more goodies if we needed. The island, itself, was a beautiful place to explore. Mount Maxwell offered beautiful views from the top and Baders Beach incredible sunsets. We kayaked with seals in Burgoyne Bay and bought soaps and lavender pepper from Sacred Mountain Lavender Farm. Bring your frisbees and play a round of golf at Mouat Park and Disc Golf. Just a heads up, the trails are shared with pedestrians, and it was still a lot of fun! I think our favourite part was coming back and bathing in the forest. A relaxing, refreshing and magical experience to soak in the tub under the stars in a lush green forest. We would highly recommend (although, we’d rather not have to share) this incredible oasis and the genuinely thoughtful and kind host that Tara is ❀

Cute and Cozy!

Nestled in the forest, this little cabin is a perfect getaway. Unfortunately, Salt Spring Island was experiencing an infestation of tent caterpillars at the time of our visit. Being in the forest, this little cabin was a prime target, making it impossible to enjoy the deck or the bathtub! However, the hikes, scenery and the village of Ganges made up for this as did the coziness of the little cabin. Breakfasts that Tara provided were also a plus.
