Welcome to Casa JR, a quiet, clean, fully-furnished, 3 BR, 2.5 bath condo with everything you could want. Beach is a few feet away. Pool right outside the condo. Relax in the condo, at local restaurants or bars, or at the beach. See the rain forest, experience zip-lines, or go horse-back riding on the beach or to the waterfalls.

The condo is fully furnished with Washer, dryer, air conditioning and a fully-stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds with quality linens. Large closets in each bedroom. There is a comfortable living room for relaxing evenings. Less than a two minute walk down the street to the beach. Just right outside the door on the condo property is a pool that is safe for young children and families. There is also a patio area with a grill for outside dining. High speed wireless internet, TV and DVD player. The condo also has a phone in the kitchen and master bedroom.

Samara is a uniquely Costa Rican beach town. It is Heaven on Earth. Casa JR is in the center of town, with bakeries, fresh fruit stands, delicious and inexpensive restaurants all within a two minute walk. It is the best of all worlds - quiet and tranquil and in the heart of this small beach town.

Other beautiful beaches are within a few minutes walk. There is horse-back riding on the beach, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and surfing right at the beach.

The town is also home to a language school and massage school. There is an indoor/outdoor gym in town with daily classes. Also, several yoga schools and spas within a 30 minute drive.

The condo itself is great. Very nice looking overall and stocked with amenities (kitchenware, beach towels/chairs). It was a good amount of space for two adults and three children. The directions and info Paul gave were exactly what was needed- very thorough and complete. It's in the middle of everything in the town. Very short walks to restaurants, the beach, tourist adventures, etc.. We were delighted to discover a small group of wild horses grazing in the yard one morning. The only downside to being in the middle of things was loud motorcycle/restaurant music/firework noise.We had an issue with sheets/towels/other things not being clean when we arrived so we cleaned them ourselves. Two days later, a cleaning woman entered the condo unexpectedly in the morning. I called the condo manager (who was very responsive) and we learned that the cleaning woman mixed up her days, meaning that our condo was not cleaned before we arrived. Fortunately, the previous occupants must have been fairly clean overall. That explained the sheets/towel/other situation and why some of the supplies were in fairly low supply, but still adequate for our stay. Hopefully, this is not a regular occurrence for future occupants.The power went out daily for 15-45 minutes. Even the cold water stops after some time when that happens.Overall, I'd stay here again. The issues were relatively minor and/or specific to our stay.

This place had every freaking thing you could ever need to enjoy vacation. We stayed at 9 other places and theh didn't have a tenth of what was here. No need for extra store trips for soap. Phone chargers everywhere. They thought of everything.

Great location right in the middle of town and less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. There is a grocery store next door and lots of restaurants in the neighbourhood. The Casa JR had everything needed for a family of 4 and a great pool area. The host was quick to respond to any questions or requests. Highly recommend this property for a stay in Samara.

My family just returned from a week at Casa Jr and we couldn’t have been happier! The condo had so many amenities and was decorated so lovely. They really did think of everything! There were power cords for our phones, a water cooler stocked with ample drinking water, comfortable beds, and more. The condo was so clean and ready for us when we arrived and was perfectly located in the middle of Sámara. The location was ideal in this adorable beach town, close to coffee shops, grocery stores, restaurants and the beach! Paul was a very gracious and responsive host who even checked in on us during our stay. We truly had the best time here and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

We as a family of four spent eight days at the property beginning of August '25 (wet season) and enjoyed every day. The location was great being in the middle of Samara with a simple three-minute walk to the beach. The ice cream parlour across the road was a hit with the girls. You are spoilt for restaurants which can and do cater from breakfast to evening dinner. Accommodation was clean and functional with ample room. AC was powerful and quickly cooled a room if and when required. Paul was generous with his time and help when we needed it. Overall would happily stay again.

This was perfect for us, we were traveling with our son and his 2 daughters. It was very clean with all the comforts of home. A short walk to cafes, restaurants and the beach. In town however very quiet. Will definitely consider a stay here again!

There were seven of us for the stay and we never felt crowded. The layout is nice, the A/C works great. The location is perfect. You have two grocery stores literally next-door. An amazing bakery around the corner and the beach is a two minute walk. The pool was clean and refreshing. One of the nice surprises we found was that there are beach chairs, umbrellas and a wagon which we used every day. Came in handy for hauling our younger grandchildren and all the stuff we took to the beach. If you’re coming to Samara, this is the VRBO to get. It was great.

Sámara central location

If you want to be right in the middle of it all and just a few blocks from the beach-this is your place! Plenty of room to spread out, even more than we needed for our family of 4! Restaurants and grocery store within a few steps of the condo. Once we got there, we were able to park our car and not use it again till we left! Definitely not a quiet place though, lots of noise from the street traffic and loud motorcycles zooming by. We had a few rainy days and appreciated the umbrellas and other beach stuff they supplied. Showers were nice and hot but worked better when not trying to use both at the same time ;) Paul gave us all the info including very helpful directions since the streets aren’t exactly clearly marked like in the US. The gate out front was never closed so it seemed as though people and horses would come and go through the yard but it really didn’t bother us. Kitchen was fully stocked for making meals, but definitely well used-appliances could use some updating. Appreciated the coffee and spices provided. So convenient to have a hose out front to rinse all the sand off after coming back from the beach! We are already talking about a return visit and would definitely stay again!

Nice place in central Samara

Large, clean, and centrally located. Nice size bedrooms, enough room for the 5 of us to live together comfortably. A/C works great. Walk to the beach in about 5 minutes through the center of town. You can also walk to all the restaurants very easily in minutes. Recommended.

Family villa in the heart of samara

great place to stay in the heart of samara, i stayed here with my family, which included our kids (3, 6, and 10 months), my wife, and her parents. we were very comfortable with the space, the kitchen was nice and big which helped prepare a few meals. the villa's location was excellent. we didnt have a car and stayed here for a week, we mostly walked everywhere and if you needed to go somewhere a little far, uber was available. the villa had some nice extras like beach chairs, umbrellas, and they were very appreciated. the villa was also located right next to two main stores so getting groceries was not time consuming whatsoever. i would highly recommend this place to someone looking for a decent size place to have a big family.

Central, Spacious, Comfortable and Well Equipped

We loved our stay at Casa Jr. Two blocks from the beach, next to a great grocery store and across the street from a great fruiteria where we got cold coconuts to drink many afternoons. The beds are so comfortable! So much space for our family to spread out and young kids to play. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals in. There were ample places to charge devices, USB ports and we enjoyed the Alexa device in the kitchen for music. There was only one day in the 3 weeks we were there that we shared the pool. We loved the pool noodle, body board and ball that were provided. In house laundry was a must for our stay and we loved the convenience. We did have to dry multiple cycles when towels were in the wash, but otherwise everything worked great! Anabelle and Paul were all very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Great value, surprisingly quiet for being right in the heart of Samara

The condo is very spacious, 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Very fast low latency and stable internet. Was able to work remotely w/ VPNs and had no issues. Well stocked kitchen. Washer and dryer worked great. Good security with locked gates and Tico style locking outer door, bars on windows, outside lights. Grocery store right next to the building, 2 minute walk. Overall a good choice for larger groups that want to be in the heart of the Samara action and walking close to the beach.

Clean, great location, strong reliable wifi

Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed our month in Sámara. Our arrival at the Casa Jr. was seamless; instructions for access were clear and the place was spotless. The condo has tons of room and the pictures are an accurate reflection of actual size. The kitchen is well stocked with all necessities to cook at the condo and it's within a 2 minute walk of the three main grocery stores. The walk to the beach is less than 2 minutes, and tons of restaurant and shopping options nearby. With two young children we were also grateful for the pool when nap times limited our beach-time. We were also very impressed by the wifi. It was reliable and fast the whole time allowing us to use Zoom for work without issue. Overall, the outside of the condo property is starting to show it's age a bit and could use some maintenance and updating (pool missing tiles, lights around pool and pergola broken, etc.). But, nothing that affected our enjoyment of the property and we had a great time overall! Thank you for a great place to call home base!
