Our family enjoyed every bit of the house! Lori was great and so easy to work with. The house was so cozy and had everything we needed and more. Kids enjoyed the pool, we took advantage of the outdoor grill and spent lots of family time outside and in the garage game room. Can’t wait to come back!

This was a perfect house for us to stay in with our grandkids and take them to the zoo! We loved the sleeping arrangements and comfortable living area; and, especially loved having a full kitchen for making meals. The back porch area is private and the kids liked being able to cool off in the mini-pool. My only complaint would be that there are several popular bars and restaurants right next to the house and, although we were not bothered by noise, we did get blocked in the driveway once, with all the cars parked on the street. Other than that, great stay!

Perfect location

We were close to the Zoo and Museums while still having a variety of dining options. Smoke Shack BBQ was delicious and conveniently next door. Plenty of room for my family of 6 and the kids loved the heated pool.

Bad weather, great house and location

We spend the weekend to attend a wedding the Witt museum, the house was perfect , location can not be better , very comfortable, unfoywe had very cold and wet conditions to enjoy the patio , we will surely have to return to this place, very nice house, layout and accommodations.

Great Place & Location for Family of All Ages!

This property was amazing in so many ways...*If you cook meals, they have a complete kitchen and backyard grill set up ...the chef in our group was even impressed. Much better than most rental places. There are even child safety features on stove. * Backyard pool area is perfect -- teens & adults spent most evenings in clean & warm mini pool with a heat lamp for when you get out in the winter. * There is room for kids to play in yard or enjoy pool with adult supervision.*Game room garage was enjoyed by adults and teens.* TVs in all bedrooms & in comfy family room with lots of seating.* Plenty of eating/game playing space.* House has surprisingly large rooms and ample closet space.* Plenty of beach & shower towels provided.* Overall, home-like feeling with cute decor -- very thoughtfully put together and clean. We really enjoyed the place.We spent a week here and were happy to be at the house in the evenings as there was plenty to do and lots of space for our group of 5. The owners are lovely and got back to us right away.Location was terrific...* several good restaurants within walking distance (next door and across the street). They were not noisy despite proximity. * parks across the street to walk/run through* kid museums literally across the street & playgrounds behind them along with a small zoo.* River walk area a short and easy 8 minute drive away.* Shopping (mall, etc.) 10 minute drive away for the teens & college kids.

Great weekend getaway

Stayed her with another couple and our 4 year old son. The place had a fun vibe and well decorated. Had all the things we needed to feel comfortable and then some. The pool is little but it totally worked and was plenty of space for the 5 of us to hang out and cool off for a bit. The location was next to some easy activities for kiddos and a few restaurants for some quick food. We had a great time and would def stay here again.

A home away from home

The home was exactly as it appeared on the listing; a cozy historic cottage. We walked (2 kids, age 4 and 8) to the zoo through beautiful and shady Brackenridge park. This was a wonderful walk. We also walked to the Witte Museum, Chipotle, ihop, smoke shack. This home was the perfect location. The pool was amazing for my kids and the back yard was a shady oasis. The mosquitoes and flies were the only nuisances we encountered. **When Lori heard of our issue with the tiny mighty mosquitoes, she bent over backyard to spray the yard herself and also brought us supplies, The property was well maintained, cleaned and had all the amenities we hoped for...and then some (extra paper towels, trash bags, laundry, soaps and lots and lots of towels). Perfect Location & Set Up

We loved visiting here to launch our spring break. The heated pool was perfect for the varied weather, and it’s size was perfect for our kiddos ranging from 8 to 4 years of age. The home is a great size and the kitchen had all the cooking and dining gear we needed. Everything in was either walking distance or a quick 5-10 minute drive away, too! Wish the showers/ tubs were better to figure out for water temps, but other than that, it’s a great booking. Wish we could stay longer, and we plan to be back again. We really enjoyed the home!

Great place, location and host!

We had a great stay in this home that was perfect for our little family. Our boys enjoyed the pool time and we enjoyed the proximity to everything. We walked to the San Antonio Zoo, Childrens Doseum and walked across the street to the Witte Museum. Perfect location and the home had everything we needed. Lori was very responsive and so gracious to us during our stay. She went above and beyond our expectations.

Perfect Retreat

Came to town for a quick girls trip and fell in love with the home. The pictures do not do this place justice. The house is nicely decorated and well kept. The kitchen is fully stocked so no need to bring utensils, dishes, or cookware. There were four of us and there were plenty of blankets and towels. The backyard is the perfect place to relax and hang out. The neighborhood is lively but quiet at night and the early morning. The location is great as there are walking trails across the street and tons of options for food and libations close by. Lori was quick to respond to any question we had and was incredibly friendly. Can’t wait to come back for a longer stay in the future.

Perfect Spot in San Antonio

Lori's house was amazing! This location and the house was perfect for our family of 8 people. The bedrooms were spacious, the house was well stocked, and we relaxed in the beautiful backyard every evening. The restaurants nearby are delicious, we especially recommend the Smoke Shack. We walked through Brackenridge Park which is right across the street from the house. Lori is a great host and very accomodating! I highly recommend this property
