We enjoyed our stay in this charming older home! We needed to be near Trinity University, but this location is so convenient to many areas- exploring downtown/the river walk, the Pearl district, nightlife on St Mary’s strip. There are many great options for restaurants nearby. We were 2 adults traveling with 2 teenagers. The space in this 2 bedroom house worked well for us. My husband and I took the front bedroom, which is small with a comfortable bed. The biggest drawback was a lack of storage for your things, especially in the bathroom with a pedestal sink and no counter space. My son chose to sleep up in the loft and my daughter took the back bedroom. Since the loft is accessed through the back bedroom the two of them were able to easily share the attached bathroom. A note on the loft- this area is set up with 3 child-sized beds. My 14 yr old son was too long to fit in the bed but chose to sleep there anyway because he liked the space! I would not recommend this loft for young children, but it would be great fun for kids in the 8-12 yr old range! Just note that you would have to worry about light/noise from downstairs. The living room/kitchen is open and spacious. The huge couch is very comfortable and fit our whole family to watch a movie. The kitchen set up is a little funky and not really designed for cooking. There is a huge island, great to gather around for snacking and casual breakfast. There is no table. The owner was quick to respond when I had a question.
