The home was perfect; great layout for families/young children. There is a hallway door that separates the main home from the bedrooms which is great for early sleeping/early rising kids.
A couple minor issues:
1. The neighbor (front facing left) was pretty rude our first couple days. During the late afternoons, conversing over a glass of wine, they repeatedly hit the adjacent wall loudly, and while we were outside and in vicinity they proceeded to cut down palm branches that broached their property and forcibly throw them on our side of the fence. All in all, wasnât a huge deal, but it was noticeable.
2. Two reasons for 3 stars:
- There was a surfboard out front, but had no leash/fins. It is unusable without those things. Iâd suggest just taking it off the listing all together.
-The location is âcloseâ to the beach, while the walk is not as feasible; it is downhill there and uphill back. The âhikeâ back would probably take you 20 grueling min, though you could walk down in 10mins. We didnât even attempt. This said, parking in the âbowlâ area was only $1.50/hr. The walk the T-Street was totally manageable.
3. There were 2 âcomplimentaryâ trash bags at the home. Staying there for a week, thatâs pretty rough. That to me seems like a necessary living accommodation.
Overall, loved the stay and especially the city of San Clemente. It is clean, safe, and everyone (even locals) are friendly and hospitable. Would absolutely recommend this home/city and stay here again!
