Perfect little space for a couples get away! Very comfy, super easy access to the beach and the bay plus multiple food and coffee options in easy walking distance. Lots of windows, so great air flow, we were super content with just the fans on. Bonus that we got to pop out to the bayside to watch the fireworks from Sea World!

Disappointed

My boyfriend and I were in town for a few days and decided being close to the beach would be ideal. When we arrived, the property was not clean - garbage still in the trash, bed not made/sheets not changed, towels on the floor. The property manager was new and was over very quickly and reached out to have the maids come in the next few hours but we had dinner reservations and were unable to store our things, shower, or leave my dog there like we had planned our day around. They waived the cleaning fee but would not refund any other part of the stay though we weren’t able to return to the property at the times we had paid for. The area has very little parking, we were told that there wasn’t reserved parking but that there’s plenty of street parking nearby - which was sort of true. They didn’t mention AT ALL that you have to constantly move your car for street cleanings that happen every day and it’s a 90 ticket if you do not see the sign. Though this is not direct fault of the property it would be a good thing to mention to be more realistic of the viability of parking near the property. Overall, the place is decent, walking distance to the beach, not in a dangerous neighborhood, but it’s very small/crowded and we just wish management was more compassionate to the situation their miscommunication left us in.

Great location. Parking was challenging depending on time of day. Amenities were good, would recommend some “to-go” cups! Would upgrade quality of paper products and include tissues.

Place smelled like throw up

the stench was on the curtains of the place - i'm not sure what it was. i tried spraying it with fabric refresher, etc. but it didn't seem to help. when i encountered the cleaning crew cleaning the unit next to me one day, all of their products had the same stench so i am assuming it may be coming from that. the smell was pretty rancid but other than that, the unit and location were very nice!

Terrific!

I grew up in San Diego and have rented on the beach during summer visits over the past few years. The place I rented from Surf Style was the best I have experienced so far: exceptionally clean, great location, and easy and friendly communications with the managers. I will definitely rent from them again!

Great for One Person!

Excellent stay. Clean, well equipped, management was very response to the one request I had. My only suggestion would be to put a dimmer switch on the recessed lights in the kitchen and bedroom. They were pretty harsh.

Great location

Perfect size for my daughter and I. Glad we didn’t get a car as its very walkable. Parking can’t be found, making Uber for our few trips a lot more economical and stress free. Having laundry was nice. At least one pot of coffee would be an easy touch for morning one but that’s my only feedback. Had everything else we needed.

Cute Place Near Water

It was a super cute place and clean, super close to the water. There is no parking which was something I hadn’t learned prior to going. Street parking is hard to find so I paid $50 per night for an overnight parking lot around the corner. There is a lot outside mission beach and you can shuttle in but I had my dog and it felt too complicated. The place has propane heater which I didn’t realize but propane worries me. I shut it off but then the place was cold at night and the bed covers are thin. I turned it back on night 3. I’d recommend bringing your own bed covers.

We loved that the property was dog friendly! Our communication went very smoothly with the property management company. The location was ideal as we were visiting our children nearby. Very close to the bay and the ocean. My only complaints are that the floors were dirty when we arrived and the space in the bedroom is Extremely tight.

Top Floor at Bayside Bikini

Probably would not stay here again! Great location. Nice place. However, we had a few problems during our stay. The washer and dryer went out and they were supposed to fix it, but didn't. Also, If you stay on a weekend night, you won't go to sleep until 2-3am due to the noisy people partying. Or you might get woken up by the homeless person digging through the trash right outside your window on any given night. If you are there on a Tuesday morning, the trash truck will wake you up at 6-7am. There is no A/C, which I didn't know to look for in the listing due to being from Texas where every house has A/C, so that may have been my fault.

Just as described

Small, cozy, perfect for two. Steps from the bay and beach. Great location! Felt safe. Unit was clean. Some construction next door but they started late in the morning so it did not wake us and they ended early; so no interruption for us. It was everything I hoped it would be and I recommend it to any couple!! We hope to return.

Small but cute

We found this spot after another trip was canceled (Covid). We didn’t properly assess what it had/its size and it ended up being much smaller than we had planned for. It’s a 1BR/1 Bath (no bathtub) and then a kitchen. There is no living room, so it’s not really a spot to “hang out” — would recommend highly for a single person or a couple who don’t plan to spend much time there. The kitchen is not very well equipped (few utensils to cook) - so if you plan to cook, bring your own essentials. It fits into this kind of generic vacation rental look/feel. Perfectly comfortable enough but no charm. The neighborhood is cute - touristy but very nice with the two sides on water. Plenty of restaurants/bars nearby. There is no parking but we did not have any trouble finding it on Mission. For a no fuss vacation getaway with lots of time spent out, it’s perfect! If you want to chill and hang out inside, look elsewhere. We did not have hot water nearly our entire stay, but the management did everything they could to fix it, which they did. They were accommodating.
