Rooms were smaller than I realized but still a great room. Breakfast was great; kids likes going in the morning. They offer fresh towels daily which was nice. Great location too!

The room was really small and smelly. The bathroom smelled liked urine and the shower curtains smelled like mildew and damp. No one bothered to clean our room or empty the trash bins. The pillows were awful and I had to use my sweater as a pillow case because I had an ick feeling about the bed. I didn’t have the time and didn’t want to bother with canceling and looking for a different place. There were people hanging their clothes on the balcony. I chose this place because it’s “ by Best Western “. So dissatisfied and disappointed. This was the stain on my vacation.

The room had a very strong chemical cleaning smell that smelled like a public park bathroom. The A/C unit has mold/dust inside of it, so it was impossible to use...luckily it wasn't too hot outside when we stayed here. There was plenty of good soap, conditioner, body wash and hand soap. The cleanup towels were as what you could expect for an average motel. The shower water pressure was OK, however, the tub and caulking lines within the bathing area were mold stained and not fresh. The room does have a functioning, microwave, fridge, coffee maker and TV. Additionally, we were on the second floor, and we could really hear the noise from the upstairs room above us. This is just something to think about when staying here if you are sensitive to noisy. Lastly, the breakfast was standard-(waffles, muffins, fruit, cereal, eggs, sausages)- nothing was too special about it...but it was nicely done. Although the breakfast room itself was very messy and dirt on the floor. Final thought, if you are OK with the above listed issues that I would say that this motel is worth staying at. But if you like something that is a bit on the nicer side then I would say look for another option.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times. Rooms are ok, but not very sound proof, so can be a little noisy. Unpleasant smell in room and unfriendly staff. I sometimes stay there only because it is usually, but not always, the cheapest option in Pacific Beach which is where I need to be. So basically it is just an ok property for just 1 or 2 nights.
