For our girl trip this was an excellent find. Kitchen is very well appointed as are the restrooms. Lots of storage for your belongings with plenty of hangers, which can sometimes be a problem. All the balcony areas are fun to use, especially the rooftop. If you have multiple vehicles, as stated in the description, be ready to find parking. Very comfortable retreat.
What a fabulous place! We were a group of 12 who stayed very comfortably, with everyone having a nice private space, while also sharing the amazing kitchen, living room, and upstairs deck. Everyone in the group agreed that TuCasa is a five-star win! -- It's clean, spacious, and well appointed with ample kitchen items and extra towels, blankets, and pillows. The upstairs deck is a perfect hang-out space, with great views of the city and arriving flights. We sat out and watched planes come in -- it was awesome! TuCasa's location in Little Italy provided a great location where we walked to everything! -- Food, shopping, and we even walked to the USS Midway. Our host Rob was very communicative and welcoming. We would definitely stay at TuCasa again and recommend it with enthusiasm! Book this place!! -- (Just don't book it when we want to return!) ;-)
The location was amazing⊠right in the heart of Little Italy! There are so many restaurant and bars within walking distance, which made our bachelorette weekend so convenient! The house was clean and had all the essential items we needed. We all had a great experience!!
This house was the perfect choice for a weekend with friends in San Diego. The unique layout made the house fun while ensuring that we all had privacy and enough room to spread out. We also could not have asked for a better location. We were walking distance to all of the restaurants and bars that we wanted to go to (plus felt safe walking around at night) and the Saturday farmers market is literally on the same street. The rooftop deck was also really fun and allowed us to easily enjoy the sunshine. The owner was very nice and communicative. I was a little worried about the church bells that were mentioned in other reviews but that didn't end up being that big of a deal. Definitely stay here if you can!
We had a great family wedding weekend at the house. It was very convenient, and had good space for our extended family. and Kitchen and Living Room had plenty of space for gathering. The rooftop patio and fireplace is a nice place to hang out, too. Enjoyed the home!It would have been helpful to have had crib sheets to use, and the necessary tools to change the toddler bed back into a crib. The hardware was there, just no way to attach them. Also, a few things need to be fixed: downstairs bathroom fan, garage to house keypad, thermostat. Having a broom or vacuum available, as well as a few cleaning supplies would have been helpful. Basic kitchen supplies (like dish detergents, towels, creamer) needed to be replentished before our visit, too.
Was in town for a conference with 10 total people and this was a very convenient location to be with ample space for all of us to stay comfortably! Hosts were interactive when needed and very accommodating!
Five work colleagues stayed here and took train to convention center for a conference. Trip took about 10 min. Train comes about every 15. We all had enough space to feel at home. We enjoyed location in Little Italy.
Location is incredible!! The farmers market on Saturday was awesome; so many great restaurants and bars and easy walk to downtown/gaslamp. The place is as advertised and is actually comfortably able to accommodate large groups. The rooftop is awesome!!
What a nice place to stay for a group of ~10. Just far enough from the main action in Little Italy to have a neighborhood feel. Just close enough to be accommodating for walkable coffee in the morning, great restaurants, bars, etc.
Plenty of space for 8 adults. Location was great and right next to farmers market which was a pleasant surprise. There are 5 flights of stairs which seemed intimidating at first but turned out not be an issue at all. House is a bit dated with fixtures and some furniture pieces but itâs part of the charm of the place!
This location is located in the heart of little Italy. Lots of locations within walking distance of the property. The rooftop patio is shared with the property next door. They can literally step over a little wall and be on your rooftop so make sure to keep the door to the rooftop locked. It is a lot of stairs to go up and down but the house itself is beautiful. I'm guessing the group before us threw some kind of party as the property was still a little untidy from the previous group. Tape all over the walls and furniture (I'm guessing from decorations being hung up), food and debris all on ground and furniture on the patios. The oven was also in non working order. All in all great property and it is large and can accommodate a lot of guests. I would stay again.
Great location in Little Italy - walking distance to all the restaurants and activities. The space itself is great for groups and the rooftop was a nice bonus. The host made the whole process super easy and was helpful answering any questions we had. Note, the bells at the church are definitely noticeable in the morning and make sleeping in difficult.
Had such a great time on my bachelorette trip staying at this place. Everything was clean. The towels did have some stains on them but that didnât bug me much. I didnât try to use the washer but one of my bridesmaids said she couldnât get the washer to turn on (not sure how accurate that is but I feel itâs worth mentioning). The furniture in the living room and dining table and chairs was different than in the pictures. Didnât bug me. I like the furniture it has in person better than the pictures. The church bells are pretty loud across the street but I slept right through it. The farmers market was such a nice surprise! So cool to walk around there & to have it right at the front door. Overall was a great stay!! Highly recommend this place to anyone with a large group! Would definitely like to stay here again
The property was clean and spacious. It was also a great location in the heart of Little Italy. We entertained 18 people for our daughters 21st birthday. We cooked a special dinner and needed the oven however the interlock that made the oven work was broken. We needed the oven for 45 minutes and I had to sit against it for the entire time for it to work. I contacted the rental company to inform them of the problem. Since it was late on a Sunday there was no way to fix the problem. The landlord offered to pay for dinner in Little Italy for all of us at a local restaurant no restrictions. Slight hiccup but handled well.
