We had a great time in Ocean Beach. Location of the house is great. It's close to the freeway and a bunch of restaurants within a couple blocks. The home is very comfortable with 2 king beds and both bedrooms are on-suite. Kitchen is huge and well stocked as well as everything you need for morning coffee. The house has laundry access which is shared by the tenant on the property in back but it was never a problem. The private patio is very comfortable and we spent a fair amount of time out there to enjoy the great weather.We were there in January and parking was not an issue.

Lotus Lodge is fantastic

I did an extended stay at Lotus Lodge. I come to San Diego frequently and this was the best location by far. House, beds very comfortable.wonderful gourmet kitchen. Central location in the highly walkable neighborhood of Ocean Beach.

Nice Stay at Lotus Lodge

The Lotus Lodge is really cute. The kitchen is definitely the highlight, and the beds are super comfortable. Gabe was also really helpful and responsive. A couple of notes—it’s not clear from the listing that two other dwellings are located on the property. Also, the hot tub isn’t in the area around the house. So if you were to use it, it’d feel like you were hanging out in the other resident’s front yard. More importantly, if you’re a light sleeper, you will be bothered by the planes. This neighborhood is directly in the flight path for the airport. Finally, the check out at 10 am is aggressive. For how much you’re paying for the place, you should be allowed to stay until 11.

Super cute well appointed very spacious house

I vacation quite a bit in SD and was very happy with this rental, Not only is it in a great location and is with in walking distance to some great coffee as well as OB Noodle House. It has everything you could possibly need in the very spacious kitchen it has every conceivable small appliance you may need, everything is new and very well taken care of. We were 3 women staying there and it felt like a very safe neighborhood, and there was always parking on the street out front. Now let's talk about the beds... They were extremely comfortable and the bamboo sheets were that of some luxury 5 star hotels so for me it is 5 stars on the beds and linens for sure. The only reason for the 4 out of 5 overall is because it is advertised as having a hot tub and it does only it is behind the house in kind of a common area with the 1/2 renter in the house back there so as a group of girls we were not comfortable going to use it. I would 100% rent this place again.

Perfect Stay in OB

Could not have asked for a better spot. Great location, great house, everything we needed, and a welcoming host and owner. Parking is easy, close to the beach (we appreciated the beach chairs!), and it was very clean! Thank you and sorry for the delay in writing this review!

Wonderful stay!

This was our second stay at this propeety. Its a beautiful older house with some of the quarks you would expect. Its a short walk to Ocean Beach, which is a huge bonus. We were able to park right in front of the property majority of the time. Attractions are close by and easy to get to. Gabe is a wonderful host and very helpful. If another SD trip comes up, we would book again.

Worth it!

We stayed at the lotus lodge and it was a great experience! Gabe was great at communicating and answered questions promptly (and I had many). Having access to the private patio was lovely every day for both remote work change of scenery and just hanging out with friends. The place was clean and the beds were comfortable! There are some older bikes that were available to use that made a quick trip of morning rides to the beach! I would definitely recommend it to others.

The property was in great shape and looked great! The are 2 king beds and a large couch. My 16yr old slept on an air mattress that he said was comfortable. Big kitchen with double ovens, microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven and a big fridge. Laundry machines were newer and large capacity. Backyard had a great area for 5 around a gas fire pit and a table with seating for 4. Overall this was a great place with lots to do in the immediate area! We will be coming back! *****

Great beach town get away

The house is adorable, and loved the location to everything that Ocean Beach and San Diego had to offer. Host was very prompt in responding and helping us out. Being a historical home means no screens on the windows, which threw us at first, but there were surprisingly no issues with bugs. Parking on the street is tight, so be prepared with that. But we made it work and so much is in walking distance it wasn't an issue.

Lotus Lodge - Great Stay

The house is great - lots of outdoor and indoor seating. Super clean and has pretty much everything you need. Plenty of street parking and the house is so close to everything we had planned. Great communication with the host. We’ll definitely stay here again if we’re back in the area.

Great property!

We stayed at this property for a week with our two younger children, and loved the proximity to restaurants, the beach, tourist spots. The living space itself was also great - a lot of room for the kids to play and chill and the for the grown-ups to spend time together as well. Would definitely rent this property again if we ever visit San Diego again!

Perfect Spot in OB!

I highly recommend this place in OB! The Lotus Lodge is in a great location. It's quite spacious, sparkling clean and has very comfortable beds. We loved that both rooms have their own bathrooms. I hope to come back and stay here again!

Spacious and well maintained

Ocean beach location convenient to many adventures. It was not clear there would be a tenant on the property grounds in the listing. It did not interfere with our stay but transparency always better than being surprised. We used all the special additions including bicycles, hot tub, beach towels and laundry machines. The yard could use some TLC but would take a nice interior over well maintained yard if had to choose. Overall the service was superior!

Has everything you need

Sweet, clean and very convenient house. Big comfy beds and nice bathrooms. The little back yard was a great place to relax in the evening with a glass of wine. Oh and the coffee/cappuccino maker is to die for.
