There was a wedding going on during our stay and the staff was very scarce. Only one person at check in and there was a line. We ordered breakfast and was never told it was delivered. It had been waiting at the front desk for 40 minutes. The property is lovely though.

We spent three nights at this hotel as part of a college tour of San Jose State. The hotel is wonderful - we had a lovely room and were very comfortable. A couple of things broke during our stay - the toilet paper holder and the electric shade and both were fixed right away. One thing -It was the week before California spring break and the hotel was eerily empty. Very few guests meant we got to have the pool and hot tub to ourselves the entire time. The park next to it is a little sketchy but we felt very safe. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood which was fine. It was really a great place to stay and if my daughter goes to college there I will stay there again.

Staff could be more friendlier and shouldn't show frustration when asking information. There was an event going on at the time we arrived and the hallway that we walked through to get to our room was lined up with food carts which took over the walk way.The TV screen had welcome in a different name instead of mine. Both door key cards stopped working when we returned from our event late at night and we had to get new ones which was inconvenient. Shower drain was clogged, draining slow. The hotel had many parking spaces, but the parking lot across the hotel should have street lights, it's dark at night. The hotel is beautiful and swimming pool was clean.

It looks beautiful on the outside but the rooms just don't match. The tub in our room appeared dirty upon arrival. We called twice and finally got someone to come clean it. They told us the tub is just stained that way. Honestly, its supposed to be a nice place. Don't book this room until the tub is replaced or refinished. Food was okay at the restaurant and parking was a nightmare because of both events going on. Anyway, its cute for outdoor pictures but we won't stay here again.

Not so great

There was a huge daddy long leg spider above coffee carafe. I called front desk and someone came and got it in a white towel. Then I was afraid spiders probably in other parts of room , since the spider and web in plain sight. Went to run bath water and button to switch to bath from shower was stuck. Called front desk again and maintenance man came and agreed stuck. But he got button to work. We were there for 1 night stay, ahead of my surgery, the next morning. The top right window has fog on inside it. I booked room 3 to 4wks ahead. Room seemed to be ignored for repairs that are obvious. Checkin took very long time. Contactless checkin wasnt avail )
