Great option close to the airport

We flew in late and just need a place to stay for 1 night before we headed to La Fortuna. It was very close to the airport and had a few restaurant options to walk to which was great!

My review is for Expedia. I needed to cancel my reservation due to flight cancellations because of volcanic activity near San Jose. The Holiday Inn Express couldn’t cancel because I made it through Expedia and Expedia had NO CUSTOMER SERVICE agent who would take my call! I’ve stayed at this hotel before and love the customer service and friendliness of the staff … and the breakfast is amazing. I’m sorry I missed another stay. And any inconvenience to the staff due to Expedia’s poor customer service.

Quite handy for our flight, which arrived after the car rental company office had closed. We appreciated being able to take the free airport shuttle, which picks up at the airport every 20 minutes and operates 24 hours, for the 5-minute ride to the hotel. The room was comfortable and quiet apart from the expected airport noise. The included breakfast was very good with a hot bar, pastries, breads, yogurts, cereals and an abundance and variety of fresh fruit. We then had a short walk to the rental car office which is located alongside a number of other car rental offices. We picked up the car, returned to the hotel, and enjoyed the relaxing pool before setting off on the rest of our journey.

Good location and value for money.

We stayed at the hotel for a night after our long flight. It’s really close to the airport and they have free shuttle bus so you don’t even need to use any taxi. The hotel it self was okay. Clean, the beds comfy and the staff all very friendly. Loved that at breakfast the staff was really looking after the little ones, even was making the balloons. However what found strange that they were using plastic cutlery and plates. Although they are recycled and still friendly to the environment. It's good value for money for sure.

This was a great location for us. We had a late flight and knew we would want a day to regroup before heading out. Very clean, comfortable bed, good breakfast, very attentive staff. Denny’s was across the courtyard. Free Shuttle bus available 24 hours.
