Rooms were clean, updating, so it depends on what room you are placed in as to how nice it is. I had multiple good stays until my most recent stay, September 30-October 3rd, when I was bitten by bedbugs on my lower extremities and buttocks. At first I thought it was spiders, but it was your typically three bite pattern.

So many problems. We were literally given keys to a room that someone else was in! There are no secondary locks on the doors. The mattress was so mushy and worn out. It was a very restless night.

We were first given keys and when we opened our door, there was a person and his dog inside sleeping. He jumped up and yelled and I stepped back and apologized profusely! I was so shocked that I was shaking for like an hour afterwards. The next room smelled really strongly of paint. The courtyard doors did not lock properly, nor was there a secondary lock on the entry door, it was not fully furnished and the smoke detectors were still wrapped in plastic, it also did not have a bathtub..which we had paid for a room with a tub. We were moved yet again to a room with a tub and the bed was horrendous. The bed was at a deep slant where I had to sleep with my head where feet go because the blood was rushing to my head. It was also very mushy and had a huge dip in the center. We just dealt with it because it was late and we didn’t want to change rooms for a fourth time. We spoke to the girl at the front desk in the morning and basically got shrugged at. We understand renovations, but basic comfort and safety should still be adhered to.

It’s a nice hotel but lots of construction going on. The room was very basic. AC didn’t work in our room so it was a little hot/humid. Bathroom vent didn’t work either. The town itself is charming though!

The hotel was under construction to a Marriott property. The elevator made a scary scrap-y sound. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. No amenities. No bottled water available. We had stayed years ago snd it was charming snd lovely. Now you felt like it was in need of care We were disappointed

I’m still waiting for the manager Melanie to contact me about my stay. I was walked in on other guests in my room just after falling asleep. Not once but twice. The place is under a huge renovation so it’s really not a great place to stay in this point of time!

I feel sorry for staff. Front desk is foeced to be and do everything. The remodel is sisgusting atomic radioactive lome green turquoise toxic colors, sparse, slum look in rooms and halls.Horrible color scheme. Bad smell of must and weed everywhere. I have stayed here at least 20 tomes in 2 years for work, it was a trusted and loved hotel, i wont be back, i could barely stay the night, if home wasnt so far away and i wasnt so tired i would have left. Sheets stained, blankets with odd substance on it, was ir chocolate, blood, or poo? Same stuff on the wall in bathroom near light switch. Water spotted shower and glass in bathroom. This used to polished, clean, and smell so fresh and clean, not anymore. Bed is sheets tucked into lower mattress, no dust cover on bottom, room looks like a ceoas between a crak house and scene from Slum Dog Millionaire. Reallu sad about this, this was a tradition for us for many years, and now a sad ending to an era. This place no longer vibes with area history, class and touches of nostalgia. Looks like a total slum in hallways, rooms are just awful color scheme, and so sparse, u feel like u are in trouble in a cell.

The whole property was being renovated which was not indicated when I booked it. When I checked in, ther room wasn't furnished as shown on the website, only a bed, nightstands, and a tv. The staff got me a desk and chair after I asked for it. Very loud construction noises all day with corridors blocked off which made accessing my room somewhat inconvenient. Restaurant was being renovated but no sign indicated that it was. Staff was helpful and courteous, but the Hotel had no business hosting guests while going through such a major renovation. Would not stay here again.
