This rating is mostly due to failure on the part of Expedia to note limitations on where pets are allowed. I had planned a birthday/holiday trip for my son and his wife to enjoy a view of the bay and to have rooms close to each other. Unfortunately pets are only allowed on the first floor and the only room they had on the first floor was under the noisy stairwell at the opposite end of the building from my room. We ended up switching rooms and I slept with the dog so they could have at least one quiet night with a beautiful view.

This was our first time staying here, and we will definitely be back. We really enjoyed the beautiful ocean view from our room. The room was very clean, and the vaulted wood ceilings made it feel spacious yet cozy. The bed was comfortable, and we had a great night’s sleep. The bathroom was clean, and the shower was nice and hot with a lovely pebble floor. There was also a great fire pit area with plenty of seating to enjoy in the evening. The only small downside was the thin walls. We didn’t have any issues with noise, but we could hear people talking at times. The staff were friendly and welcoming. As we were leaving, I overheard the front desk asking a staff member about removing a stain from a shower, which showed they truly care about keeping the rooms clean and their guests happy.

The issue was there was a popping sound all night long in my room and I think it might’ve been in the room next-door to me possibly refrigerator making that noise or the cooling system but it was just miserable every 10 minutes or so it would be popping. No desk to speak of that wasn’t useful.. aesthetically lovely but the room was definitely not sound proved. I could hear the person next-door opening and closing their drawers. I mean that’s ridiculous so I would never stay there again.

The stsff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and I loved the style and decor. It had everything we needed. Close to the bay and we chose a room with ocean view- marvelous! Very walkable to the bay and all the shops and restaurants. The only downside was the very noisy neighbors who were having way too much fun past midnight. Glad I had my earplugs. It's an older building and even though its beautifully remodeled the walls are a bit thin.

The problem I had was the walls have no insulation. I can hear people talking until past 2:00 am and another heavy snorer. I won’t stay there again because you can’t sleep. Everything else was fine and staff was nice.

They had the room ready early for us and got us checked in and out quickly. The staff was so friendly and the room was lovely! So clean and the view was so pretty. I would definitely recommend anyone I know to stay here and would stay here myself again when I’m back in Morro Bay. :)

The outlets to the room in the bed area tripped a breaker. I asked the desk host to flip the breaker but she said they were all good and I would just have to wait to the maintenance guy the following day? After noticing the outlet to our son's BiPap and CPAP machines were out as well I had to tell her there's no option for us to have no power through the night like this and I was feeling pretty worked up by here inability to help us resolve this issue. Me having electrical experience, I offered to help find the breaker that was tripped but she demanded I step out as it's a liability issue. Finally after 20 minutes of my stress level going through the roof and my wife full of anxiety about the issue... the power returned. The desk host said the breaker was misslabled as room 103. I was so frustrated because I asked her if she checked all the panels the 1st time, which she should have regardless but she was only looking at the labels for the room I was staying. The barn door to the bathroom would not stay closed as the track was obviously not properly leveled. The bathtub drain catch leeked and made it inconveinient to take a bat. Location for the Motel is very conveinient, and is pet friendly. No coffee available in the office but there were tea, coco, and light snack. This was a 1st not to see coffee available at a motel snack table. For a hotel that was 100% booked on rooms, I would expect someone on staff to be available that can resolve simple electrical issues.
