The communication was outstanding. I felt like the host was available anytime we had a question or needed anything at all. The property is beautiful, the proximity to the beach and coast village road made it easy to just park and walk everywhere- breakfast, dinner and shopping. The beds are comfortable and even though it doesn't have AC (most SB homes don't) they had a ton of windows and fans that helped bring in the ocean air and keep the house the perfect temperature. The architecture is very SB and the design was cute and approachable. One of our friends remarked that it was the comfiest couch they had sat on in a long time. Items in the kitchen are well labeled and we were happy to stay there and even met the couple and who was renting out the cottage/adu. Stay was great and would stay again.

The location is great. Walking distance to lower downtown and to Butterfly Beach.The house is clean and is well stocked with towels. A few ants on the counter upon arrival, so we were cautious to keep all food wrapped up tight. We did not end up cooking, but the kitchen seemed to have all the kitchenware you would need. Basics are supplied (sugar, salt, pepper, oil, honey, ground coffee, some creamers), bring spices.We enjoyed the hot tub on a daily basis. Missing a big plant in picture so is a bit less private if studio is occupied. Important to use black wash tub to rinse feet to avoid brining sand in the hot tub.The studio (converted detached garage?) at the back of the long driveway and is adjacent to the backyard where the hot tub is located was occupied during our stay and made it feel less private to me (walking past the house backyard and house windows every day and talking in their adjacent fenced-in yard for several hours one evening made it feel like a shared property). Luckily, they did not have a car which made parking easy for us. The welcome book is very clear the house parks on the left side which means you can’t back straight out of the driveway. The studio parks on the right and is a straight line to back out.The couch and beds were comfortable with nice bedding and pillows.Overall, nice place and excellent location.

We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious house. Very clean and very comfortable, including very comfy beds. All the amenities needed for a vacation and a really great location - walking distance to the beach, as well as the restaurants and shops in the downtown Montecito area. Also, far enough away from the freeway and railroads tracks. Note that there is a lot of freeway and road construction in the Montecito area and these improvements are very much needed. Freeway will be much better when finished! We will be back and I would highly recommend this property.

Coral Cottage Review

We spent a week at the Coral Cottage with our two sons (14 and 12) and it was just as advertised. The quality of the reviews are reflected in the experience this property offers. We've spent time in Santa Barbara and Montecito before so know the area fairly well. This house is in a great spot as it allows for an easy walk to Butterfly Beach and the lower village. The village has shops and restaurants where you can get breakfast, lunch, drinks, or dinner. Their is a supermarket in the village, too. A+ for location... The house itself was just as advertised. Two things worth nothing - 1) there is no a/c, which is not uncommon for Santa Barbara given the temperate climate, but worth noting. We opened up all of the windows the first day and were never uncomfortable. There are even floor fans should you need them. 2) there is a little casita on the property that is also a rental. Again, nothing to be concerned about. The casita was occupied during our entire visit but we never saw the other guests, just their car. This property has outdoor dining, a grill and a hot tub which is only available to renters of the cottage, not the casita. Bottom line - zero issue on either of these two items. The house is well stocked with kitchen items and plenty of bath and beach towels. We cooked breakfast at home almost every day and made lunches their, too. It was a great setup for all of that. The grill is nice and we used that for a couple of dinners. Our only issue was with the dishwasher, which needed a repair. Communication with the manager was on point but the repair was not able to be scheduled before we left so we had to wash dishes by hand several times. No blame to go around - things happen and again, we were kept in the loop about the process. That minor inconvenience will have no bearing on our recommendation or future visit to this property. In summary, we would highly recommend this house and look forward to a return trip!

Wonderful property indoor and out. Comfortable beds. Great light throughout the house. Despite being close to the freeway - heard zero freeway noise. Driveway is a little narrow the first time backing out - but easy after that! Would definitely stay again. Easy walk to the beach or to the little main street nearby. Loved having the oil remover pads for our feet after walking at the beach!
