My third time staying here, and prior experiences were always awesome. The staff always is very helpful and professional. Clean facilities and great location! Unfortunately this time the wifi was non existent in our room, on all devices. The first night I asked them if there was anything we could do fix it as at night we had some work calls, they apologized and said they would reset the router. The 2nd day still no luck and I asked why the 5th floor had no wifi, still nothing done about it. The third day there was still nothing done about it after multiple times telling the staff. WiFi is essential in this day and age and if wifi is included in room amenities, then it should work. It was a shame this time around, but as stated above the staff is always very nice. We would come back if we were put anywhere else but the 5th floor with no wifi.

The breakfast was awesome! It really showcased all the wonderful local flavors of Otaru, and it was the perfect way to spend our last morning in Japan with such amazing food. The room was very clean, functional, and modern. We spent most of our time outside exploring, but the room was a relaxing and comfortable place to recharge during our trip. There were a couple of minor downsides. The fan in the bathroom was a bit too weak, so the ventilation could be better. Also, in the public bath area, there were many tourists who didn’t seem to know how to use the facilities or follow the bathing etiquette, which was a little disappointing. However, this is not the hotel’s fault – it really comes down to how guests choose to behave in such a nice facility. The parking was excellent. The staff kindly helped us use the indoor automatic parking system, so our car was protected from the piles of snow overnight.
The room had a fun, retro ship-themed atmosphere. I’m sure kids will love the secure bunk bed!
The canal is just a short walk from the hotel, and we also stopped by the LeTAO bar while we were exploring the area.

A great choice of hotel in Otaru. Great location, right on the main tourist street in the town. Excellent modern property with a cultural and historical twist.
