***update*** The condo was updated on 5/5/24. This condo is at the Tortuga Inn which is the perfect beach-to-bay resort on Florida's unspoiled Ann Maria Island. Plus a private white sand beach just across the street with two heated pools. A private pergola with amazing ocean views and water craft rentals. Beach chairs are included at no extra charge. Restaurants and cafes within a short walk. Manatees are known to habitat the bay area during certain times of year, dolphins and other wildlife are also regular visitors within the bay and ocean. Parking is included at no extra charge. Restaurants, shops, grocery stores, boat and other water activity rentals are within a short walk or drive but not on property. There is a free island trolly that can take you around the island.

Within the condo: the studio portion; a queen bed with a pullout couch, sleeps 4 comfortably. There is a mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine and plenty of closet space. A large bathroom, walk in shower with dual shower heads. Basic cable and free wifi included.

For an additional charge of $40 per day I do have a boat slip. Please enquire if you are looking to rent or bring your own boat or jet skis.

Right across from beautiful beach with free use of beach chairs. Easy Walking to restaurants with beautiful sunsets. Small but cozy condo with large bathroom. Host was terrific and always responded quickly to any questions I asked. Great place to stay. Hope to return.

It’s a cute unit decorated nice. Just really did not like the feeling of not having a window to look out of to see anything. Only a sliding glass door that only opened up to the inside of the hotel. Just kind of felt like a cave or something. But again it was just us and we were only there to sleep and shower. The bed needs to be upgraded - completely uncomfortable.The closet/refrigerator/microwave area was interesting. Not a lot of room and the refrigerator door needs to be reversed to have easier access .Quiet resort which was nice. The host was very nice and always responded back quickly.

This is truly a studio with limited appointments, not sure how 4 people could maneuver in the space. The location was exceptional with being directly across from the beautiful beach! One huge drawback for us was not knowing (until after lugging our luggage up steps) that there are two elevators. The one closest to the unit was not in operation for the entire visit and did not have a posted note stating it was not in service. We most likely would stay here again! The owner was very easy to communicate with.

“Resort” not so much

Understanding the unfortunate devastation from two hurricanes that occurred last year and needing time to rebuild, the “resort” was more like a dated motel. The elevator did not work so having to go up and down 40 steps each time we came and left became exhausting. (Also seen by other tenants) The AC unit is not powerful enough to cool the room below 78 degrees and does not cool the bathroom at all. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. These are our personal opinions and experience so others may feel differently. The positive was the location which is directly across from the beach with access points. Bradenton beach seemed to be the cleanest beach on the island. Parking was convenient at Tortuga as well.

The sliding glass doors with curtains didnt provide privacy or a fewling of security

I wish i had felt more secure in being alone in the room. I felt the owner was a little threating in his communications telling me if i didnt behave the neighbors would let him know...it served its purpose but won't stay again.

About as expected

Property was clean and room was about the size I expected. Water was turned off completely for 2 days and we were notified one day before this was happening. Owner did not offer any reimbursement for the inconvenience. Shower was large with lots of space in bathroom. Smaller sort of awkward closet space with refrigerator. Quiet space.
