This home was great for our 5 week getaway from the Chicago winter! It was the perfect venue for the revolving door of visitors we hosted (our adult kids/grandkids, college roommates, and siblings). The split plan was ideal, and the location was easily walkable to the beach, shops, and restaurants. We highly recommend, and hope to come back next winter!

Beautiful home in great location

The house is spacious and the pool/amenities were great! However, the check-in process was a bit of a nightmare. First off, the instructions emailed to me had a code that didn’t belong to the lock on the door to the property. The folks at Vacasa couldn’t help since they thought the lock on the door was a Schlage, when in fact it was a Kwikset. Eventually, the rep on the phone gave me the code to the lockbox which had a couple of keys inside. Ironically enough, the code that was provided for the lockbox ended up being the code that needed to be used for the door—though I didn’t find out about this until after finding the property managers contact info inside. Second—once we finally got inside, unlocking the sliding door to the pool resulted in an ear-piercing alarm that we could only circumvent by removing the battery from the unit. The instructions given to me by the property manager (that she received from maintenance) just didn’t line up with what I was seeing on the device. At one point when dealing with the alarms, a phone rep at Vacasa said they had sent out a technician to help, but I later found out that no rep was sent, as any of those sorts of requests needed to go through the property manager I eventually spoke to, and she said there were no such requests put in. Seems like a disconnect between support and management. Despite the stressful first few hours of our vacation, the remainder of the stay was awesome! Would definitely stay here again.

Great Property with Inflexible Management

First of all, let me be clear that this was a beautiful property with everything we needed for our family gathering. It is in walking distance from the beach as long as you aren't hauling a big load. The pool was lovely as were all bedrooms. There was no ping-pong, perhaps because the owner's van was housed in the garage. There are many areas on/in the property where people can group up and gather... if people are there. In our case, I chose this location because it would be ideal. It was decent walking distance to the beach and close by some of our favorite St. Armand's shops and restaurants. My sister was renting on Lido Key and we were arranging a family reunion in the area. When COVID-19 came along, everyone backed out, understandably. My sister's rental was fully refunded. I received no such flexibility with this property but instead, "It is beyond the time for any refund." This started in early summer and continued as COVID rates increased. I am amused that there is a COVID flexible stamp of approval for this place. Because we couldn't cancel, I would have been out a large sum for a week's rental. Instead, my husband and I took our chances and enjoyed a huge place to ourselves (during Eta I might add). The only contact we had from management during our stay were auto text messages. Those made it clear there was no early check in or check out available although there were no previous renters the week before (no trash in the trash cans). As the hurricane approached we were auto-texted to move all the outdoor furniture inside. There was no follow up after the storm passed to see if everything was satisfactory. The reason I gave the cleanliness a lower score was because there was an awful odor when we checked in. The dishwasher smelled terrible. After we ran a couple cycles it seemed to improve. The dishes (cups especially) in the cupboards had a lot of residue and some of the silverware was not clean in the drawer. I communicated that there may be a problem with the dishwasher but I did not hear back from anyone. I can only imagine how difficult COVID-19 has been for landlords and for steady rentals of these large properties. I am a landlord myself and I know the feeling of having tenants who can no longer pay their rent. I felt throughout this experience that management was tone deaf. Again - beautiful property. Had we not encountered COVID, a hurricane, and a sad dishwasher I would be raving.

St. Armands Circle N Adams Review

This house is very well stocked with kitchen gear, linens, etc. It also has a very nice pool and outside area as well as lots of space for people to relax communally as well as a separate office for quiet workspace. The closets in the bedrooms were very user friendly.

A beautiful House

Nicely decorated, homey, confortable, great pool, great garden, one block from St Armands Circle, 4/5 blocks form Lido beach. Nice bedrooms, comfortable beds, clean a super complete kitchen. Loved the pool. All in all we were very happy with our choice and sad to leave.

Great home for a group

There was a group of 8 of us who all stayed together in this house. We each felt like we had our own space but able to gather together and have a great time. This house has ample space for big groups and the pool was amazing!!! The house has everything you can think of needing while in vacation. They respond very quickly if you have any questions at all! Highly recommend this house!!!

top notch stay

We absolutely loved this home and our stay in Sarasota. This is a sprawling home with plenty of room for the 6 of us and we hosted a get together of 10 the first night easily by the pool and dining table. The showers work well and the house was clean and well furnished. I had trouble finding the extra towels and we had a small problem with some outlets not working in one bedroom. Two calls to the property management quickly solved those problems. We used the pool daily and were able to walk to St. Armands Square. We also weren't far from Siesta Key or Bradenton where we visited to explore the area. I highly recommend this house and thanks for the wonderful vacation!

Awesome House

Plenty of room. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Pool was awesome. House is very clean. Beds slept wonderful. Would recommend this house to anyone. Short walk to shopping restaurants and Lido Beach is awesome.
