Very nice cabin nestled in trees, close to Helen, but good location to relax from daily rush. Communication was excellent and the cabin was very clean and well care for.
We had a great experience at the cabin. Plenty of room to spread out. Enjoyed the porches. We were so close to everything yet felt so secluded when we went back to the cabin. Getting to enjoy nature & seeing some local wildlife made it even better.
We were in town for a sad family event, but staying at this charming cabin in its beautiful setting helped make the tone for the weekend much brighter! From beginning to end, the entire rental process was very smooth with excellent communication. Everything was exactly as described, and a brief hold-up getting in upon arrival was handled immediately with ease! I may have missed the detail that there is a hot tub on the porch, so we weren't prepared with suits, but that wasn't really an issue. The location is within 5 minutes from Unicoi State Park, and very convenient to Helen (especially if you forget something and have to "run back" to the cabin to grab it). We slept 6 adults and a 4 year old very comfortably, with plenty of space to eat together and sit/hang out, inside and out (screened porch and deck). We even had a "welcoming committee" black bear visitor within 30 minutes of arrival - we saw him off the deck just past the tree marking the National Forest - he didn't even seem to notice us as he made his way through. Would absolutely rent again!
We arrived at the property after a long travel day. When we entered the property, we all noticed a strong musty smell. When I went into the master bedroom, I noticed a framed photograph that looked very dusty. I swiped my finger across it and it left a mark. Within seconds, my husband started coughing and had to go outside. He is highly sensitive and allergic to mold and went into a full on attack with vomiting and difficulty breathing. We called the property owners right away and were told to contact property management. They cancelled our reservation immediately and refunded our money. However, it was 8:00 on Saturday night of Memorial Day weekend and we now had no place to stay (family of 6). We called around and finally found a hotel for the night. The owners were kind and responsive, however, it needs to be noted that the property has a high water content and mold issues that need to be addressed. It is not safe for a family to stay there. We want to help more families avoid their vacation being ruined. Please install dehumidifiers and clean for mold remediation.
Our stay at trails end was wonderful. The cabin was very nice, a little older but had everything you need. The location was perfect we would definitely stay here again.
Trail's End was wonderful with plenty of space and quiet. We especially enjoyed the screened porch in the evenings
listening to natures sounds. Scott, the host, was great when we had an unexpected situation. He addressed it and had it fixed as soon as possible. We would not hesitate to return to this cabin again. Thank you Scott, great job.
The cabin was beautiful, spacious and smartly appointed with everything you would need. It sits nestled among trees and rhododendron adjacent to a national park. My 13 year old daughter loved it as much as I did and is begging to return. The deck and screened in porch provided spaces to breath in the fresh air. Our furbabies felt right at home and enjoyed walking the grounds.
Scott, the property owner, is absolutely wonderful. Kind, thoughtful and responsive. This is an absolute must place to stay if you are planning to enjoy the area parks, trails and neighboring towns.
Our experience at the cabin was great! It's secluded, yet only about a 5-7 min drive to Helen. Loved sitting on the porch in the mornings listening to the birds (and looking out to maybe catch a deer or bear wandering the woods, but no luck! haha) The fire-pit was a hit! I mean who doesn't love making s'mores! The cabin itself was very home-y and spacious for us (family of 7) and Scott was amazing! He was extremely helpful and responsive. Would definitely recommend staying here!
GREAT QUIET cabin, beautifully decorated and very cozy!
Scott, the host, is quick and kindly in responding to questions, and in providing information! I think our family would be delighted to stay again. The cabin's proximity to Helen is perfect if you don't
The Cabin is very conveniently located and Scott is an attentive and flexible host. Some of the towels and sheets could have been cleaner and some of the curtains didnât work, but overall we had a nice time. Wish we wouldâve seen a bear!
Our experience at the cabin in Sautee Nacoochee was a memorable one. We wanted to cap off the summer with our kids by getaway and relaxing out in the woods/nature. Took in a few activities with zip lining, BBQ , fire pit (sâmores) and board games. We also did some shopping and dining out in the local town. We were very pleased with everything. Definitely will be back!
