Parking was easy. Not much of a view out the windows. AS the temperatures warmed up the AC was not able to keep the place cool. The first couple of days it was not bad, but as the temperatures rose outside, so did they rise inside. The host was informed, but because it was Christmas could not get anyone to fix it. She was very apologetic. Windows were sealed so they could not be opened. Other than that everything else was good. The bed was really comfortable.
Trouble accessing the property when we got there, only one roll of toilet paper for 4 guests and 3 nights, doors do not close. No seasonings in kitchen. No hand soap in bathroom. Not enough seating
The neighborhood and walkable was superb. It was great to have a dedicated parking space and check-in was easy. I expected old and charming, however the property needs maintenance. The couch and chair upholstery were dirty, and a shutter banged all night (we were there on a particularly windy night and property management said that they will look at it). Could be great with better bedding and a deep cleaning.
This property is very close to Forsyth Park and definitely walkable to the River Walk (about 1 mile). Most days we walked down to the river and then took an Uber back later at night. We had a rental car, but chose to just leave it parked at the VRBO unless we were doing sight seeing by car. Finding parking downtown Savannah is tough and it is all paid parking. We didnât see any free parking anywhere.
The beds at this property were very comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay.
The property was just three short blocks from Forsyth Park, which made exploring historic Savannah very convenient! The apartment was comfortable, spacious, and included basic amenities. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the original artwork.
The owners were engaging, wanting to make sure we we happy and available if we had any questions. Provided us with info on activities happening in Savannah. Place was very clean and comfortable, we highly recommend staying here.
My family and I were here a year ago visiting SCAD for my daughter. Everything from our Vrbo to the city of Savannah and the college was amazing. Our return visit was even better. We were able to stay longer and really enjoy ourselves. The Artist house is so convenient to everything. Most of all it is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay with parking (most places charge extra)! I highly recommend the list of restaurants suggestions by the owner, especially Crystal Beer Parlor. It may look like just a bar with food, but it was exceptional. I never would have thought to go there because of all the other more high profile restaurants, but it was one of the highlights. The owner of the Artist House really goes above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay. We hope to stay here again whenever we visit our daughter.
We really enjoyed this place! It was a lovely short walk to Forsyth park and the rest of Savannahâs activities! The host was easy to communicate with and provides everything we needed for our stay.
I love this property! The apartment is the top level of a duplex home. It's a renovated home so it still has super high ceilings and solid wood floors and stairs that you don't find in homes anymore. The host, Julie, did a really beautiful job decorating. It's charming and comfortable with wifi & flat screens.
It's just off of Forsyth Park in the Historic District so its convenient to almost everything.
Stayed here for 3 nights with my family. Great location in quiet residential neighborhood only a few blocks from Forsythe Park. You can actually see the fountain on the street corner of the house! We walked to the park every morning. Kroger's is only a half mile from the house and downtown Savannah is about a 10 minute drive. The house was perfect with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Even a pullout couch but we did not use it. Lots of great architectural details with tall ceilings, wood floors, and all the amenities you need even a fully stocked kitchen to cook. Parking is included but you will have no problem parking on the street if you bring additional car. Would definitely stay here again when coming back to Savannah!
