Very beautiful area!.. The hosts were very accommodating in making sure that we were comfortable. They were extremely responsive to any questions and messages. This is a great place to stay!
There were dishes, glasses, silverware, but no way to cook! A small microwave would have completed the small kitchenette.
Don't expec water to be more than warm or for there to be strong water pressure, as it is a historic elder building.
On a side note, we had
two incidences of firetrucks & city gas light service swarming the neighboring units in two days. Not sure if this is common in the area, but was concerning.
Overall, great location, has charm.
My husband and I were very impressed with the location, cleanliness, and bed comfort of our stay at Holly. Our only complaint is how loud everything around us was! We could hear the neighbors come and go, walk in the halls, and enter the building. We even had a sound machine that we brought with. Also, the bed is NOT a king size. It's extremely comfortable so that was more important to us than the size.
Had a great time first time in Savannah. Place was great! Only small thing is I wish they had a fan and mirror in main living area! Would definitely stay again!
Our place overlooked one of the squares. Beautiful view out our window on the 2nd floor. You could even hear the birds chirping in the morning without having to open a window. Noise level was surprisingly low. We did not hear our neighbors except for the occasional fumbling of keys in the hallway....that was a big bonus because I'm a light sleeper. Prepare to do a lot of walking if you want to be where the action is....we did not and we didnât mind racking up the extra miles considering all the food we ate! Thank you for having us!
I am a Nurse Entrepreneur, speaker and trainer. I travel a lot. It is always our goal to stay at a short term rental when not traveling to a conference where we stay at the host hotel.
This was our first time in Savannah.
One of the first things that we had to do was to go to an office and pay for parking. Why not put the parking in with the price so that we don't have to waste time going to another place on vacation to pay.
There were alot of steps which is a staple of Savannah. Therefore, if you are not used to steps, just be prepared. We were okay with the steps, it was just a little difficult to climb the steps with luggage.
In the room, there were dishes and a coffee maker. I really appreciated the coffee maker but the dishes did not make sense since there was no way to heat any food in the room. If feel that a microwave would have been more appropriate than filling the cabinet with dishes that were unuseful.
Also, one other reason we stay outside of hotels is because we are non-smokers. When we went down to the bottom floor, we smelled marijuana. Our professions have precluded us to know this smell all too well.
The place was clean, however in the future, we will be staying where we have the entire place to ourselves.
This property was in the heart of the beauty of Savannah. We walked everywhere. Beautifully restored property. Clean. Safe. Lovely. Communication with staff was great.
No issues at all. Liked the location being on the edge of the hustle and bustle. Owner checked in with us twice to make sure everything was going good. The only complaint I have is the room did not have a box fan or ceiling fan, so we had to buy one.
My husband and I stayed here for a baby moon and we could not have stayed at a better place. Perfect location - was quiet and a quick walk to town and Forsyth Park. We never had an issue with parking. We were able to park right outside the building the whole stay. I was nervous about how I would sleep on this trip, but the bed was super comfortable and probably had the best sleep Iâve had in awhile! If we ever come back to Savannah we will be staying here again!
Quaintly designed small space, but the coffee maker did not work (disappointment). Sounds from neighbors were disruptive as they entered or exited the building. Really enjoyed the architecture of the neighborhood and the proximity to Forsyth Park.
If you are looking to stay in the historic district, but away from the hustle and bustle of the river district, this is a great spot. Next to one of the many beautiful parks and short walk to all of the places we wanted to visit. The room itself offers plenty of room for two and was a fairly easy walk up a few stairs. Quiet neighborhood as well, which suited my wife and I just fine. Could take a leisurely stroll for breakfast and then off to see the sights.
This was a great stay overall for us! There are a couple things to note about it though.
First, there should be a fan in the room because it gets quite hot in there and the AC said if you turned it below 70 it could mess the system up. So it got pretty toasty at time and my wife and I wished they had a ceiling fan or a box fan available at least.
Second, it was very easy to hear other people. It could wake you up at night being beside the main door and people walking up the stairs could be loud at times and wake us up.
Overall it was a beautiful place to stay and we enjoyed it. Very clean in a beautiful building and walkable to everything that we wanted to do! I recommend this place to stay if you are traveling to Savannah. Parking was easy and we had no issues besides the two that I stated previously.
This property is lovely. Beautiful view of a park outside the window. Not far from city happenings. It's a walking town, so bring comfy shoes! Great coffee shop on Liberty (about 4 block walk) Savannah Coffee Roaster (try the quiche!) Would definitely stay again and hope to soon!
Perfect location, well decorated and offering everything we needed.
We arrived on Thursday evening and had no problem finding parking out front. Parking is free after 5 on the weekdays and all day on the weekends. We didnât use our car again until Sunday when we left. Perfect location just far away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourists and partygoers. On a quaint street and offered everything we could have possibly needed. Well decorated to amplify our experience in Savannah.
