The home has a lot of character and is located in a beautiful and convenient downtown neighborhood. It could use some updating, but it was clean which is more important to me. The pull-out couch is not very comfortable for sleeping on and there was no blanket for that bed. Thankfully, my friend doesnât prefer to use a comforter so I was able to use the one from her bed. I will say the location is fantastic and the communication was great! They were very friendly and helpful during the booking process. We had no issues with their instructions for check-in.
The apartment was very clean and the kitchen well fitted out. There was plenty of clean towels for the two of us.Unfortunately the decor was a bit tired and could have done with being freshened up, but other than that we found that it met out needs. .....the steps up to the apartment are quite deep and if you were anyway infirm, you would struggle getting up and down them..We found the aircon very noisy and on cooler nights just switched if off.We had an issue with the shower and we emailed the host who was quick to respond. The apartment was about a 20 min walk to river street. Straight down Drayton Street and your there. Kroger grocery was about a 5-7 min walk away if needed. If you dont mind a walk then this apartment will suit you well.
The location was perfect! We like spending the afternoon at the park and the local restaurants are within walking distance. We felt like a local! The parlor was in excellent condition and had the amenities we needed during our stay. We will definitely stay here again as it is next to our favorite square.
This lovely home was beautiful, clean and in an incredible location that made walking to attractions, restaurants, etc. so easy. It was well-stocked with everything you could need for a vacation, and it's been beautifully restored and helped us feel like we had a true Savannah experience. We had a very minor maintenance issue and texted to let the host know, and they came out and fixed it the same day! Top-level service, perfect home, would absolutely stay again (and likely will if we come to Savannah again!)
Location was great. I do wish I knew i had to climb stairs to get to the front door (maybe I missed it in description). My husband and I are both able, healthy individuals, but I would have planned differently for our cooler we brought if I knew it had to be dragged up very steep stairs. Just worth making more obvious if anyone rented with any mobility issues, etc. Other than that, I always choose rentals in this location, always convenient and beautiful. The box spring protector had a coffee stain on it and shower glass had soap scum buildup. Those are very easy things to clean, and aside from that, everything was perfect and clean. Maybe the cleaner was just busy and got distracted. Who knows. Bed was comfy. AC worked great. And Heat when needed briefly in AM. I also didnât realize it was a shared portion of a larger home. No issues at alll, but again, good to be aware of if thatâs something of concern. We never heard anything from other house renters and felt completely private. I would rent again in a heartbeat!
So I'm going with a 5 because overall the apartment was great in many ways. It's spacious, clean, and the location was fantastic. We especially liked being able to walk to so many places, and being so close to Monterey Square and Forsyth Park made for really pleasant morning and evening walks. The back deck was a nice place to have coffee in the morning, and just down the stairs is a small garden area that our dog liked sniffing around. There are a few things we'd say need improvement. The door knob to the laundry room/closet was loose enough that we didn't want to shut it with our stuff inside for fear that the knob would fall off and lock our stuff inside. The ceiling fan in the bedroom could not run without the light being on, which made it a little difficult to sleep in the evening (the bed itself is quite comfortable, though). The bathroom, while clean, could use some touch ups cosmetically. Overall, there are a few flaws, but we felt the apartment suited us, and the management company was very responsive.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The unit was clean and felt safe and secure. Lucky Savannah was very helpful with all of our questions and in giving assistance when the internet dropped out. We will stay with Luck Savannah again.
Lovely home and great location. Home was clean and well stocked. Bed was very comfortable. The only issue was that they gave us the code to get into the room for check in but not the outside door code. Otherwise great stay.
Perfect little one bedroom apartment for us. The bedroom was in between the kitchen and living room and the bathroom is off of the bedroom, however we didn't mind. We enjoyed sitting on the patio off of the kitchen as well. If they offer longer term rentals for this apartment, we would definitely consider it :-)
Location, Location, Location! This home is the perfect location to walk to Forsyth park, several restaurants, landmarks, & even river street. We absolutely loved staying in the historic district and in a home that was built in the 1800s. It was perfect for my husband, myself, & our two dogs. Highly recommend!
Great location in the Historic district, and we walked to almost all places. A block away from scenic Jones St. which was indeed beautiful, but almost every square and street in that area is beautiful! Enough dishes, but definitely bring your own coffee and fixings for anything you make on your own as there are no basics like you might find left over in other rentals. Parkerâs was just a few blocks away and had everything we needed, but we were also eating out most of the time anyway so it was all good! Canât wait to return to Savannah again!
Overall, this property is a good value. Itâs in the ideal location â near Bull Street in the historic district. The unit itself was comfortable and attractive. The bed is comfortable. The chairs, not so much. The property had some issues. The washer is listed as an amenity but was out of order without notice. The water pressure in the shower was marginal, and the toaster would not brown bread no matter the setting. Again, overall, itâs a good value. It was perfectly quiet. In a weekâs time, I never heard anyone, and the street itself is generally very quiet at night.
The apartment was in a great location, walking to several squares and great shipping. Although the kitchen was updated, the rest of the apartment could use some attention. Several areas that needed updating, partial board of the bathroom cabinet was peeling and many areas of painting was needed. Warn hard.
Our family of 3 and a dog had a great stya here .This is a wonderful home right in middle of all attractions in historic downtown yet very private. 2 on walk to Forsyth park was a plus. Some things do need upgrade in house but considering the house is built in 1800âs the property is very well managed. Definitely recommend staying here .
The property was great and in the perfect location for our stay in Savannah. Everything we wanted to see was well within walking distance from the property and it was situated in a really nice neighborhood that was very quiet at night. Would recommend to anyone.
This is our second time staying in this building and just like the last, it was a great stay! So much space, all the amenities we needed, great southern style and beautiful the minute you walked outside. Thanks again, we'll be back!
